摘要: A cartridge system for a cartridge type soldering iron has a sleeve stopper with hooks and a sleeve which goes over the stopper. The hooks of the sleeve stopper lock with a socket assembly of the soldering iron which connects to an electrical source. A tip cartridge of the soldering iron has a tip retaining mechanism to fix the sleeve stopper with respect to the tip cartridge. The sleeve is made from a non-heat conducting material to protect a user's fingers from heat.

摘要: A method of configuring a soldering device includes the steps of purchasing (or offering for sale) a soldering device package including a handle, a power cartridge containing an AA battery, a power cartridge containing a lithium ion battery, and a power cartridge containing a nickel-hydride battery; selecting (or instructing a user to select) one of the three power cartridges from the purchased soldering device package for use with the handle to form a soldering device; and inserting the selected power cartridge in the handle to form a soldering device. The selecting step includes selecting one of the three power cartridges based on a specific use of the soldering device and based on soldering performance requirements of the specific use and based on operating times and relative costs of the power cartridges.

摘要: A device for controlling the temperature of a soldering iron is provided with a power source circuit 1 which generates pulses having a zero volt period &tgr;; a zero cross detecting portion 2 which generates zero cross pulses on the basis of pulses; a microcomputer unit 3 which receives the zero cross pulses at an interrupt terminal INT and at the same time controls actions of the respective portions; a heater/sensor complex body 4 which heats a soldering iron tip and at the same time detects the temperature; a switching portion 5 which carries out ON and OFF actions on the basis of control signals from the microcomputer unit 3; and an amplifying portion 6 which amplifies a sensor voltage from the heater/sensor complex body 4.

摘要: Disclosed is a heating device having a elongated body to heat an electric part for soldering or desoldering the electric part. The heating device includes a tip through which the heat is applied to the part, a heater for heating the tip and a temperature sensor for detecting temperature at the tip. The heater and the temperature sensor are longitudinally distant from each other. The temperature sensor is located in a forward portion of the body to be close to the tip. The heater includes a heater core of high heat conductive material, and a heating coil wound around the heater core, with heat being conducted through the heater core in the longitudinal direction of the body to the tip.

摘要: A heater/sensor with an electric heating coil has an insulating pipe with a bore therein has nonheating wire threaded therethrough. The nonheating wire is attached to a first end of a heating wire which is wound about the periphery of the insulating pipe. A second end of the heating wire is attached to a second nonheating wire. A first ceramic coating of a binder and a coarse grade alumina is formed on the pipe and wires through a dip process. A second ceramic coating of a binder and a fine alumina coating is formed on the first ceramic coating though a second dip process. The twice coated heater/sensor complex is secured in a soldering iron tip.
