摘要: A photographic camera having an automatic rangefinder system wherein a light emitter projects a beam of light through a convergent lens to illuminate a target object. This beam of light is detected through another convergent lens by one of a group of photoresponsive elements forming a light receiver. Depending upon which photoresponsive element of the light receiver detects the reflected beam of light, the range of the target object to be photographed from the photographic camera is indicated. The light emitter and the light receiver are supported by a single support member in laterally offset relation to each other and the lens elements for converging the projected beam of light and the reflected beam of light, respectively, are integrally formed of a synthetic resin. The rangefinder elements are assembled into a rangefinder module.

摘要: An improvement is made in a camera wherein the exposure is controlled by an electronic circuit comprising a photoelectric element so situated as to receive a light reflected from the surface of photographic film in the camera.Conventional shortcomings of the above-mentioned camera that a time delay from operation of the electronic switching circuit to an actual completion of closing of the already opened shutter has been liable to cause an over-exposure and that an exposure period shorter than the delay has been impracticable can be eliminated by employing another photoelectric element which continuously receives a light from the object and influences a current to flow into a timer circuit. Moreover, by means of a change-over switch, the circuit is switched so as to be controlled substantially by the second photoelectric element in case the photographic object is so bright as to necessitate a high speed exposure faster than the time delay.

摘要: A door unit for selectively opening and closing an opening in an object includes a door having a bendable slatted door body and a flexible sheet member positioned over the door body. Guide grooves in the object slidably guide at least the door body, and the respective ends of the door body and the sheet member are connected on one end in the sliding direction. By setting an appropriate spacing between the guide grooves, the generation of noise that would otherwise be caused by the door body and the sheet member rubbing against each other when they are opened or closed, is avoided. The use of the separate sheet member also significantly increases the options for the material to be employed for the design surface of the door unit.

摘要: An image reading apparatus which reads document surfaces of open book-like documents placed on a document platen in a face upward condition and detects height of the document to control an image reading operation. An image reader reads the document platen on which the document is placed and outputs image data. A height detector detects height distribution of the document, and a discrimination device determines whether or not abnormalities occur in the height distribution of the document. A memory stores the height distribution of the document, and a update device updates the height distribution of the document stored in the memory when the abnormalities do not occur in the height distribution of the document. A correcting device corrects distortion of the image data caused by the height of the document in accordance with the height distribution of the document stored in the memory.

摘要: A focus detecting device for a camera utilizing auxiliary illumination, comprises a sensor for detecting the image of a photographic object, a first light emitter for projecting a first auxiliary light toward the object, a second light emitter for projecting a second auxiliary light toward the object. The second auxiliary light illuminates a smaller area than the first auxiliary light. The first and second light emitters are selectively driven in response to brightness of the object, thereby to produce a contrasty light image onto the object.

摘要: The present invention relates to a device for measuring object distance or an in-focus position used for a camera in which the object distance of focus adjusting condition are measured in a plurality of distance measuring areas in the photographing scene. The device is so constructed as to judge a main object from weight data in correspondence not only with the object distance of each distance measuring area but with the position thereof in the photographing scene. Further, when there is an object nearer than a predetermined distance, the main object is judged from whether the object has a size larger than a predetermined size in the photographing scene. Furthermore, it is judged from the difference between the object distances of adjacent distance measuring areas whether the objects are the same object.
