Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To support communications across a wideband, a base station and user equipment (UE) may communicate across the wideband using a set of sub-bands that span the carrier bandwidth (e.g., the wideband). In some cases, the UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication of a capability of the UE to communicate a wideband communication with the base station via the set of sub-band based communications with the base station. The UE may receive, from the base station (and, in some cases based on the capability of the UE), a configuration for communicating with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using the set of sub-bands. Then, the UE may communicate with the base station in the carrier bandwidth using one or more of the set of sub-bands in accordance with the configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitting node may perform a directional listen-before-talk (LBT) using a sensing beam. The transmitting node may start a channel occupancy time (COT) after the directional LBT based at least in part on one of a COT claiming signal or a time stamp. The transmitting node may perform, to a receiving node, one or more transmissions during the COT using one or more transmit beams that are included in the sensing beam. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. In one aspect, the apparatus may determine an energy detection threshold of a reference bandwidth, the energy detection threshold being based on at least one of a transmit power or a power class. The apparatus may also measure an interference level of at least one signal. Additionally, the apparatus may adjust the energy detection threshold of the reference bandwidth based on a sensing bandwidth. The apparatus may also determine whether a transmission medium is available based on at least one of the adjusted energy detection threshold or the measured interference level of the at least one signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to transmit feedback information via a configurable quantity of interlaced resource blocks (IRBs) in one or more interlaces of a sidelink feedback channel. For example, the UE may transmit feedback via multiple IRBs of an interlace. The UE may determine which IRBs to use in accordance with a configuration, which may indicate a quantity of IRBs, a distribution of the IRBs, a pattern of the IRBs, or any combination thereof. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine to transmit feedback via multiple IRBs of an interlace that is different from a common interlace.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes performing, by a user equipment (UE), a scan in connection with a listen-before-transmit (LBT) operation. A sensing bandwidth associated with the scan is selected by the UE based at least in part on a transmission bandwidth of an uplink transmission, and at least a portion of the sensing bandwidth is included an unlicensed frequency spectrum. The method further includes transmitting, by the UE, the uplink transmission based on a result of the scan.

Abstract: Enhanced measurements for new radio-unlicensed (NR-U) operations are disclosed. Compatible user equipments (UEs) may be configured to perform virtual full listen before talk (LBT) procedures for measurement purposes. The UEs may then compile LBT statistics derived from the virtual LBT procedures and include such statistics in an enhanced measurement report the their serving base stations. The LBT statistics provide a more direct and detailed reflection of the usage of a shared communication channel. Such UEs may further be configured to gather additional LBT statistics from transmission-based LBT procedures in addition to the virtual LBT procedures. The additional direct and detailed usage of a shared channel may then be provided in the enhanced measurement reports in accordance with described aspects.
