Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a source base station associated with a source master cell group (MCG), a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetition in one or more slots of the source MCG during a handover of the UE from the source MCG to a target MCG. The UE may perform, to a target base station associated with the target MCG, an uplink transmission in one or more slots to the target MCG during the handover, wherein PUSCH repetitions associated with the source MCG that overlap in time with the uplink transmission to MCG are canceled and a counting of the PUSCH repetitions is based at least in part on slots of the source MCG associated with canceled PUSCH repetitions. The second signal is transmitted on the sidelink utilizing the one or more PRT resources.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to random access procedures. In one example, a UE initiates a random access procedure with a base station, and receives a random access response (RAR) message from the base station in response to the initiating of the random access procedure. The UE further determines a redundancy version (RV) pattern comprising a sequence of a plurality of RVs. The UE also transmits an uplink (UL) communication to the base station as part of the random access procedure. The UL communication comprises a plurality of repetitions of a UL message, each repetition being an iteration of the UL message that is configured by applying a respective RV of the plurality of RVs to the UL message based on the sequence. The UE further receives a downlink message from the base station based on the UL message. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to techniques for peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction based on a tone reservation (TR) algorithm. For a TR algorithm, a suitable subset of tones from among a full set of tones in a given resource allocation are reserved for use as peak reduction tones (PRT). An apparatus, such as a wireless communication device, selects a set of PRTs based on a deterministic pseudo-random tone selection algorithm, such as quadratic sampling, cubic sampling, or Fibonacci-type sampling. The apparatus determines a PAPR reduction waveform for transmission on the PRTs and transmits a data waveform multiplexed with the PAPR reduction waveform on resources corresponding to the resource allocation. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

The transmitting device can transmit a transmission signal comprising the first set of data tones and the second set of data tones, the transmission signal using a waveform based at least in part on the first PAPR reduction signal and the second PAPR reduction signal.
