Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of one or more standalone nonpublic network (SNPN) roaming groups, associated with a network to which the UE is subscribed, and one or more SNPNs to which the UE is not subscribed. The UE may determine that a transmission from an SNPN identifies an SNPN roaming group identifier associated with one of the one or more SNPN roaming groups or identifies an SNPN identifier associated with one of the one or more SNPNs. The UE may register with the SNPN based at least in part on determining that the transmission identifies the SNPN roaming group identifier or the SNPN identifier. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A core network receives data from at least one of an Application Function (AF), a Data Network (DN), or a User Equipment (UE). A Session Management Function (SMF) processes the data for transport with a low overhead as a session management (SM) payload over a Non Access Stratum (NAS) protocol. The data may be received from an ΔF or DN external to the core network and may be processed to transport the data to the UE based as a SM payload. The data may be received as uplink data from a UE, e.g., in an SM payload. The SMF may processed the SM payload to obtain the data and may transport the data to the AF or DN. The SMF may perform IP header compression, data encryption based on an SMF encryption key, and/or buffering of data for a UE in an idle mode.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) without a radio resource control (RRC) connection to a base station includes receiving system information from the base station and transmitting a data communication to the base station over a control plane without establishing an RRC connection with the base station. A UE in an RRC suspended state may transmit a data communication to the base station over a user plane without resuming an RRC connection with the base station. The data communication may comprise data and UE identity information and/or a cause indication. A base station may indicate resources in the system information for the transmission of the data communication information and receive the data communication over the control plane without establishing an RRC connection with the UE or over a user plane without resuming an RRC connection with an RRC suspended UE.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some examples a user equipment (UE) may transmit a message indicative of a capability of the UE to perform one or more propagation delay compensation (PDC) operations for limited band communications. In such examples, the limited band communications may be associated with communications via a carrier having a carrier bandwidth below a threshold bandwidth and the limited band communications may be associated with a link budget for a clock synchronization service. Such PDC operations may include a timing advance (TA) based PDC operation, a round trip time (RTT) based PDC operation, or both. The UE may receive a unicast control message that indicates a PDC operation of the one or more PDC operations for the limited band communications by the UE. In accordance with the unicast control message, the UE may perform the PDC operation for the limited band communications.

A plurality of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) across the plurality of different mobile network operators (MNOs) may participate in a shared operator service offering for facilitating provision of intelligent services in ambient computing environments. A first network entity, such as a reader device, may receive from an energy harvesting (EH)-capable device in an ambient computing environment a back-scattered signal that includes identification information associated with the EH-capable device. In some cases, the first network entity and the EH-capable device may be associated with different PLMNs or different MNOs. Based on configuration information indicating a type of enrichment information to collect, the first network device may obtain enrichment information associated with the EH-capable device and may cause the identification information and the enrichment information to be transmitted to a second network entity.

A multicast architecture may support flexible change between unicast and multicast operations and may support additional traffic types (e.g., Internet Protocol and Ethernet traffic). For example, the multicast architecture may include transmitting data over a shared multicast radio bearer (MRB) and/or specific data radio bearers (DRBs), a multicast user plane function (UPF) for supplying the multicast data to a base station, multicast data from different radio access networks (RANs), protecting the multicast data through creating a group key, ciphering the multicast data sent on the MRB using the group key, and transitioning the multicast data from a source RAN to a target RAN.
