    摘要: A container for containing flowable material comprises a rigid tank having a top opening therein for filling the tank with flowable material. A bottom opening in the lowermost portion of the tank for evacuating the flowable material. A cap seals the top opening in the tank and a piping assembly is connected to the bottom opening. A collapsible bladder inside the tank prevents the flowable material from coming into contact with the tank. A mating top cover and bottom base assembly are shaped to receive and enclose the tank. The piping assembly includes a dispensing spout which utilizes a spout, a dry-lock or a spring valve.

    摘要: A fluid solid-contacting device eliminates the accumulation of deposits behind distribution collection conduits, reduces the differential expansion between the conduits and a containment vessel, and improves fluid distribution by extending the perforations into a back side of a distribution conduit that abuts the vessel. This apparatus has greatest application to scallop-shaped conduits that are commonly used in radial flow reactors. The perforations, extended into the back side of the scallop, ventilate the area between the scallop and the vessel holding the scallops.

    摘要: A multiple stage hydrocarbon conversion system wherein a hydrogen-hydrocarbonaceous feedstock reaction mixture is processed serially through a plurality of reaction zones, each of which contains a particulate catalyst disposed as an annular-form bed movable downwardly through the reaction zone, and wherein said reaction mixture is processed in radial flow through said annular-form bed. Pinning of the catalyst particles within the annular-form bed is substantially obviated by the combined effect of charging only a portion of the total hydrogen to the first reaction zone, charging the balance of the total hydrogen to a subsequent reaction zone, and restricting the effluent flow of at least one reaction zone.
