Abstract: A display panel includes a plurality of display elements arranged in a display area, an opening, a multi-layer including a first layer and a second layer disposed on the first layer, and a groove. Each display element includes a pixel electrode, an emission layer disposed on the pixel electrode, and an opposite electrode disposed on the emission layer. The display area surrounds the opening. The groove is located between the opening and the display area. The groove has an undercut cross-section that is concave in a thickness direction of the multi-layer, the second layer includes a pair of tips that protrude toward a center of the groove, and a length of each tip is less than about 2 μm.

Abstract: A display device capable of improving reliability (e.g., impact resistance) of a display panel having a through-hole, and a method of manufacturing a display device are provided. A display device includes: a camera module including a lens; a display panel including a through-hole overlapping the camera module on a plane; a window glass on the display panel; and a filling member in the through-hole and opposing each of the camera module and the window glass. A refractive index difference between an end portion of the filling member and the lens is about 0.7 or less, and a refractive index difference between another end portion of the filling member and the window glass is about 0.5 or less.

Abstract: A display device may include a base substrate including display and peripheral regions adjacent to each other, an organic light emitting device, and an encapsulation member. A module hole, a first blocking groove, and a second blocking groove may be defined in the base substrate. The module hole may be defined in the display region to penetrate the base substrate from a front surface to a rear surface. The first and second blocking grooves may be provided to enclose the module hole. A distance from the rear surface of the base substrate to a top surface of the encapsulation member between the first and second blocking grooves is smaller than that in a region outside the second blocking groove.

Abstract: Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays and methods of manufacturing OLD displays are disclosed. In one aspect, an OLED display includes a substrate having an emission area and a non-emission area, a pixel electrode formed in the emission area, and an intermediate layer formed over the pixel electrode and including an organic emission layer. The display also includes an opposite electrode formed in the emission and non-emission areas and at least partially covering the intermediate layer. The display further includes a black matrix formed over the opposite electrode and including a first light-blocking portion formed in the non-emission area and a second light-blocking portion formed in the emission area and having light transmittance greater than that of the first light-blocking portion.
