An apparatus for estimating oxygen saturation is provided. The apparatus may include a sensor configured to measure optical signals of multiple wavelengths based on emitting multi-wavelength light onto an object; and a processor configured to: determine a section of the optical signals for estimating the oxygen saturation based on a difference between at least two optical signals among the optical signals of the multiple wavelengths; and estimate the oxygen saturation based on the optical signals of the multiple wavelengths in the section.
Abstract:
An electronic device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a touch screen. The electronic device includes a communication interface that may receive, from a touch pen, a pulse wave signal of a user which is measured from a finger of the user by the touch pen while the touch pen is placed on the touch screen. The electronic device includes a processor that may determine whether a measurement posture of the user is appropriate based on whether the finger touches the touch screen, and in response to determining that the user's measurement posture is appropriate, estimate bio-information of the user based on the received pulse wave signal.

A method and apparatus are configured to recognize mobile terminals positioned within a coverage area for short range communication with a user-specific device, wherein each mobile terminal comprises identification information for the user-specific device. The method and the apparatus provide a customized service corresponding to at least one of the mobile terminals.
Abstract:
A wearable device and a communication method using the wearable device may include recognizing a gesture of a user by sensing at least one of a motion and a biosignal that occur in or around a portion of the user to which the wearable device is attached. A wireless communication connection is established for the wearable device with at least one of an external device, an internal device, or another wearable device based on the recognized gesture. Wireless communication is performed with at least one of the external device and the internal device with which the wireless communication connection is established.

A biosignal interface apparatus includes a sensor configured to detect a target in contact with the sensor, a position identifier configured to identify a position of the sensor on the target, and a controller configured to control an operation mode of the sensor based on the identified position.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus provide for stable signal demodulation in a communication system. The method and apparatus includes including detecting an erroneous demodulation value based on backward-demodulation of received signals, using a difference between a received signal to be demodulated and a preceding signal of the received signals and correcting the error demodulation value. Alternatively, backward-demodulation is used to confirm received signals.
Abstract:
An apparatus for estimating bio-information, may include: a sensor part having a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor configured to measure a PPG signal from an object of a user, and a force sensor configured to measure a contact force between the object and the PPG sensor; an output interface, which before the PPG signal is measured, is configured to output first guide information indicating a predetermined number of times the user is required to touch the sensor part, and second guide information indicating a number of times that the sensor part has been touched since the first guide information is output; and a processor configured to estimate bio-information of the user by using the PPG signal based on the number of times that the sensor has been touched since the first guide information is output, corresponding to the predetermined number of times the user is required to touch.
