Abstract:
A hinge with a limitation function has a shaft, which is mounted with a stationary seat, a male segment, a resilient member, a washer and a rotatable seat, and engages a nut to fasten the above elements. When the movable display panel rotates in relative to the main unit, the movable display panel rotates the rotatable seat, and the rotatable seat further rotates the shaft. The male segment also rotates in relative to the female segment; meanwhile, the head is rotate along the fastening portion. When the lugs are engaged in the notches respectively, the display panel is positioned at a certain position, the plane face is against the fastening portion so that the shaft cannot rotate continuously to the same direction.
Abstract:
A hinge with multiple positioning angles has a shaft, a rotating bracket, a rotating-positioning element, a stationary-positioning element and a stationary bracket. The rotating bracket is mounted around the shaft and is mounted securely in a web camera that is mounted in a cover of a notebook computer. The rotating-positioning element is mounted securely on the rotating bracket and has at least one positioning protrusion. The stationary-positioning element is mounted securely on the shaft and has at least one positioning recess corresponding to the positioning protrusion. Each positioning recess has a detent corresponding to the positioning protrusion. With the positioning protrusion selectively engaging the positioning recess and the detent, the hinge positions the web camera at multiple shot angles and is convenient to position the web camera to shot the frontage of the user.
Abstract:
A robust hinge has a redundant positioning capability, is mounted between a cover and a base and has a keyed pivot pin, a rotating leaf, a stationary leaf and a spacer assembly. The rotating leaf is attached to the keyed pivot pin and connects to the cover. The stationary leaf is mounted around the keyed pivot pin, connects to the base and has a primary stationary positioning element. The spacer assembly is mounted around the keyed pivot pin and has primary and secondary rotating positioning elements and a secondary stationary positioning element. Each stationary positioning element has a detent. Each rotating positioning element has a protrusion corresponding to the detent. The protrusions engage the detents to provide the redundant positioning capability to keep the cover form hitting the base. Two pairs of protrusions and detents provide the redundant positioning capability.
Abstract:
A hinge for a notebook includes an L-shaped seat with a barrel. A pintle has a shaft extending in the barrel of the seat. A first tube, a sleeve and a second tube are in turn mounted on the shaft. The first tube and second tube are securely received in the barrel and each has a stop formed at a respective end facing the sleeve. The sleeve has two arcuate segments respectively formed at two ends and corresponding to the stops of the tubes. Thus, the sleeve can be rotated along with the shaft about the first and second tubes until one arcuate segment of the sleeve abuts the corresponding stop. Whereby, a user can raise the display with a small force to separate the display from the body and a large force to completely raise and position the display.
Abstract:
A hinge includes a pintle in turn extending through a first sheet, a rotating ring, a second sheet, a positioning ring, an elastic ring, and a washer, and fastened by a collar at a distal end of the pintle. The hinge can be rotated clockwise and counterclockwise and positioned at the angles of 0 degrees, 90 degrees, 180 degrees, −90 degrees, and −180 degrees.
Abstract:
A hinge includes a first leaf assembly with a first leaf and two barrels. A pintle has a cylindrical part extending through a first of the barrels and a non-cylindrical shaft extending through the second barrel. A second leaf is mounted on the pintle. A collar with a non-circular opening is provided outside the shaft. A resilient member is provided between the cylindrical part and the collar. Two channels are defined at a side of the collar facing the second barrel for alternately receiving at least one lug formed on the second barrel. Whereby, when the pintle is turned about the barrels, the first leaf can be positioned at multiple points about the second leaf.
Abstract:
A pivot hinge for a portable electronic device is disclosed. A base plate with a pivot tube is fixed on the main unit of the portable electronic device, and a locating bracket is fixed on the movable display panel. A shaft is inserted through the pivot tube, exposing the angular section from the other end of the pivot tube. A locking piece, a spring, and a ring are sequentially inserted over the angular section to complete the spring assembly. The interlocking of the tooth and notch enables the movable display panel to be placed in the horizontal direction over the main unit. A middle section of the shaft and the pivot tube are closely mated only when two plain facets respectively formed on the shaft and the pivot tube are matched up in the rotation of the shaft, thus abrasion damage is significantly reduced.

Abstract:
A hinge for a notebook computer includes a hinge member and a fastener assembly. The hinge member has a seat with a lateral portion and an upright portion. A hole is defined through the upright portion, and two recesses are defined at an exterior side of the upright portion. A pintle extends through the hole. A nut is threadingly mounted at a first end of the pintle. The fastener assembly has a positioning member provided outside the pintle and between the upright portion and the nut. The positioning member has an aperture corresponding to the pintle. Two protrusions are formed at a surface facing the upright portion and engaged in the recesses in a closed status of the notebook computer. A resilient member is provided outside the pintle and between the positioning member and the nut. Whereby, the hinge has a simplified structure and a low manufacturing cost.
Abstract:
A securing device includes a body adapted to securely connect to the primary plate and two arms vertically extending out from two opposite ends of the body. Each of the arms has an assembly hole to adapt to align with opposite ends of a tubular connector of the primary plate so that when the shaft extends into the tubular tube, the two arms are secured to the shaft. When a radial force is acting on the shaft, the force is compromised by the two arms of the securing device such that damping of the screen is minimized.
