Abstract: A hinged system includes a preassembled hinge module for pivotally coupling a first component to a second component. The preassembled hinge module includes a shaft, a torque element frictionally engaging the shaft, and a housing. The housing includes a cover, a side wall, and a rear wall that define an interior space enclosed within the housing. The interior space receives the torque element inside the housing. The cover defines a first aperture, and the rear wall defines a second aperture, the first aperture and the second aperture aligned with a pivot axis of the shaft. The shaft extends through at least the first aperture, the interior space, and the second aperture. The shaft is separate from, and configured to be mounted to, the first component. The housing is separate from, and configured to be mounted to, the second component.

Abstract: The application provides a hinge structure comprising a first connecting piece provided with a slot and a second connecting piece provided with a rotating shaft. An inner wall of the slot is provided with a limiting slot and an outer surface of the rotating shaft is convex to form a clipping strip; the clipping strip is inserted into the limiting slot to limit a relative rotation angle between the first connecting piece and the second connecting piece. The present application also provides a packaging box comprising the above hinge structure. The hinge structure and the packing box are provided with a limiting slot in the slot and a clipping strip on the rotating shaft. Through the cooperation between the clipping strip and the limiting slot, the relative rotation angle between the first connecting piece and the second connecting piece is fixed and the reliability of the hinge structure is improved.

Abstract: A hinge includes two rotatable axle units disposed on a base seat and each having two rotatable hinge shafts, two movable bracket units each including a base plate, two rotary blocks non-rotatably sleeved on the hinge shafts, and two movable plates movable relative to the rotary blocks, and two synchronizing units for making synchronous rotations of the hinge shafts. Each synchronizing unit includes a first gear member having two end surfaces in form of bevel gears, and two second gear members each meshing with the respective end surface and fitted to the respective rotary block. Rotations of the hinge shafts at one side of the base seat result in rotations of the rotary blocks and the second gear members, and bring in rotations of the second gear members, the rotary blocks and the hinge shafts at the other side to make the synchronous rotations.

Abstract: A vehicle interior component with an improved torque hinge is provided. The vehicle interior component may comprise a base and a cover configured to move relative to the base. The torque hinge may be coupled to the base and the cover and configured to hold the cover in any position relative to the base. The torque hinge may comprise a bushing, a brake, a clamp and a fastener configured to provide a clamping force between the clamp and brake. The bushing may be configured to move with the cover as the cover moves relative to the base to provide a frictional force against the brake. The clamp may be manufactured by an extrusion process. The clamp may comprise a curved portion and first and second extension portions extending from the curved portion. The first and second extension portions of the clamp may be substantially parallel.

Abstract: An information handling system hinge provides friction against rotational motion to generate torque that regulates housing portion relative position. Friction is generated by compression of friction elements with a super elastic wire under tension. For example, a nickel titanium alloy wire under two to eight percent strain provides a relatively low spring rate having consistent compression even as wear reduces the size of the friction elements.

Abstract: An electronic device with an enclosure having a base and a base is disclosed. The electronic device can include a shaft coupled with the base and the base. The shaft can be coupled with a torque component engagement feature that provides a frictional engagement with the shaft. The torque component engagement feature can magnetically couple with a magnet, or magnets. The electronic device can also include a magnetic assembly configured to magnetically couple with the shaft engagement. The magnetic assembly can provide a first magnetic field that magnetically couples the torque component engagement feature with the magnetic assembly. However, the magnetic assembly can change to a second, reduced magnetic field less than the first magnetic field. When the display assembly is rotated toward the base, the magnetic assembly changes to the second magnetic field, and the torque component engagement feature magnetically decouples from the magnetic assembly based on the reduced magnetic field.
