    摘要: The present invention has an object of providing a concentrated coffee extract which is rich in aroma component released when the roasted coffee beans are ground and has an amount of coffee oil controllable in accordance with the use and purpose, and a process for industrially producing the same. According to the present invention, the above object is achieved by separating an aroma component-containing distillate, a coffee oil-containing liquid, and a coffee extract from a slurry obtained by wet-grinding roasted coffee beans, and after the coffee extract is concentrated, adding back the aroma component-containing distillate and the coffee oil-containing liquid.

    摘要: A Raman amplifier having a great Raman amplification gain is disclosed. An optical transmission system 1 is provided with an optical fiber 31 for Raman amplification and an optical multiplexer 41 between a transmitter 10 and a receiver 20 in the order of enumeration, and further provided with a pump light source 51 for Raman amplification that is connected with the optical multiplexer 41. The wavelength of signal light to be transmitted from the transmitter 10 to the receiver 20 is at 1.65 &mgr;m band, and the wavelength of the pump light that is output from the light source 51 is C-band or L-band. Since the pump light for Raman amplification propagates at a low loss through the optical fiber for Raman amplification, a great Raman amplification gain can be attained by the Raman amplifier.

    摘要: After a wide-band DCF is wound around a bobbin to form an optical fiber coil 32, the latter is removed from the bobbin and placed into a bundle state (the state where the increase in transmission loss in the wavelength band of 1.55 &mgr;m caused by distortions in winding is reduced by 0.1 dB/km or more) released from distortions in winding. A resin 42 is used as a coil-tidying member so as to secure the optical fiber coil 32 to a storage case 40 at four positions. Both ends of the optical fiber coil 32 are connected to pigtail fibers at fusion-splicing parts 44, respectively. Even when the storage case 40 is closed with a lid after the optical fiber coil 32 is secured to the storage case 40 with the resin 42, there remain interstices within the bundle of the optical fiber coil 32 and a space between the optical fiber coil 32 and the storage case 40. As a result, even when the optical fiber coil 32 in a bundle state is accommodated in the storage case 40, transmission loss and the like would not increase.
