摘要: A control unit includes a memory storing correction data obtained by associating information acquired by a first acquisition unit (rotary encoder) with information acquired by a second acquisition unit (direct sensor) with respect to, at least one rotation of a conveying roller. When a plurality of images are sequentially printed on a first surface and a second surface of a continuous sheet, the control unit reads the correction data corresponding to the rotation information acquired by the first acquisition unit from the memory and corrects at least one of driving control of a print head and driving control of the roller. The correction data used in printing on the first surface of the sheet is different from that used in printing on the second surface of the sheet.

摘要: A control unit includes a memory storing correction data obtained by associating information acquired by a first acquisition unit (rotary encoder) with information acquired by a second acquisition unit (direct sensor) with respect to, at least one rotation of a conveying roller. When a plurality of images are sequentially printed on a first surface and a second surface of a continuous sheet, the control unit reads the correction data corresponding to the rotation information acquired by the first acquisition unit from the memory and corrects at least one of driving control of a print head and driving control of the roller. The correction data used in printing on the first surface of the sheet is different from that used in printing on the second surface of the sheet.

In a third step, the leading end portion of the sheet is withdrawn from between the decurl roller and the decurl pinch roller by conveying the sheet in a direction opposed to the conveying direction. After executing the first to third steps, the sheet is conveyed in the conveying direction through the first step while the sheet is curved by the decurl roller.

摘要: An apparatus includes an adjusting mechanism configured to change a gap between a print head and a continuous sheet, and the adjusting mechanism controls the gap to be larger than that at the time of printing when a splice of the continuous sheet passes the print head. An unprintable area is set on each of the upstream side and the downstream side of the splice, each having at least a width corresponding to a sum of a length of the plurality of print heads in the direction of sheet conveyance and a distance of movement of the continuous sheet in a period required for the adjusting mechanism to change the gap, and the printing is continued while avoiding the unprintable area.

摘要: An apparatus may include a print head, multiple roller pairs to convey a sheet, a direct sensor, and a control unit. The print head prints on a conveyed sheet. The multiple roller pairs nip the sheet at an upstream side of the print head to convey the sheet, nip the sheet at a downstream side of the print head, and nip the sheet at an upstream side of a first roller pair to convey the sheet. The direct sensor measures a surface of the conveyed sheet at a measurement position between a nip position of the first roller pair and a nip position of a third roller pair to obtain information relating to a movement state of the sheet. The control unit controls to correct at least one of driving control of the print head and conveying control of the sheet, based on the information obtained by the direct sensor.
