Abstract:
This disclosure provides printing systems, printing methods, and assemblies for decurling a sheet of print medium. Print media can include paper or other media that can exhibit some tendency to deform when damp or exposed to a certain degree of moisture or moisture. This deformation can be undesirable and can affect the image quality or the perceived image quality of printed matter. To increase the energy efficiency of the procedure for unrolling sheets that have undergone deformation and increase productivity, the following curl unrolling unit is applied, which includes a frame attachable to a sheet collecting tray at an outlet of a printing device, a first corner component mounted on a frame containing a first sloping surface to receive a first corner of a leading edge of a sheet of print medium issued by the printing device, and a second corner component mounted on the frame, comprising a second sloping surface to receive a second corner of a leading edge of the sheet of print medium issued by the printing device.
Abstract:
A paper feeding device in an embodiment includes a roll-paper storing unit, a curl rectifying unit, and a cutting unit. The roll-paper storing unit is capable of storing roll paper. The curl rectifying unit is disposed on a downstream side of the roll-paper storing unit in a conveying direction of a sheet let out from the roll paper and rectifies a curl of the sheet. The cutting unit is disposed on the downstream side of the curl rectifying unit in the conveying direction and cuts the sheet.
Abstract:
A sheet processing apparatus includes: a curl correcting section including a conveying member configured to convey a sheet, and a pushing shaft configured to push, toward the conveying member, the sheet conveyed by the conveying member, the curl correcting section being capable of adjusting a correction amount of a curl of the sheet by adjusting a pushing amount of the pushing shaft for pushing the conveying member; and a moving guide section configured to guide the sheet toward a pushing position of the sheet in the conveying member, the moving guide section being configured to move along with a pushing operation of the pushing shaft while maintaining a distance from the pushing shaft at a predetermined distance or smaller such that a conveyance error of the sheet is not caused when the moving guide section guides the sheet.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes: a discharging slot provided for discharging a recording medium on which an image is formed; a discharge tray including a supporting surface supporting the recording medium discharged from the discharging slot; a discharge mechanism configured to discharge the recording medium to the discharge tray through the discharging slot; and a press down mechanism including an abutting surface which is provided for pressing down the upper surface of the recording medium supported by the supporting surface of the discharge tray. The press down mechanism is rotatable about a rotation center provided on the upstream of the discharging slot in a discharge direction in which the recording medium is discharged from the discharging slot, and the abutting surface contacts with the supporting surface when no recording medium is supported by the discharge tray.
Abstract:
A sheet processing apparatus includes a pair of belts, a water supplying unit, a curving unit and a controller. The pair of belts defines a conveying path for holding and conveying a paper sheet. The water supplying unit supplies water to outer surfaces of the belts. The curving unit curves the conveying path defined by the belts. The controller makes the water supplying unit supply water to the outer surfaces of the belts, and makes the belts convey the sheet between the belts in a state where the conveying path is curved by the curving unit to correct the curling of the sheet.
Abstract:
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a first sheet storage portion and a second sheet storage portion disposed side by side with the first sheet storage portion. The sheet feeding device includes a sheet bundle moving member configured to transfer sheets in the second sheet storage portion to the first sheet storage portion and a pickup roller configured to feed the sheet by abutting against the sheet stored in the first sheet storage portion. When transferring the sheet bundle in the second sheet storage portion to the first sheet storage portion, the pickup roller is rotated in the same direction as that during feeding.
Abstract:
A printer includes a medium storage section that stores a medium; a recording transport path that is a transport path transporting the medium that is fed from the medium storage section and extends on an upstream side and a downstream side of an ink jet recording head; a switchback path that transports a recording sheet in a reverse direction of a transporting direction by switching back the recording sheet after transporting the recording sheet that has passed through the recording transport path and bends the recording sheet by making a first surface facing the ink jet recording head be an inside of the recording sheet; and an invert path that inverts the switchback recording sheet by bypassing the recording sheet on an upper side of the ink jet recording head and makes the medium be confluent with the recording transport path at a position on an upstream side of the ink jet recording head. A second transport path is formed along a fourth transport path.
Abstract:
A curl correction apparatus that corrects a curl of a sheet includes: a hard roller that is disposed in the downstream in a sheet conveying direction of a heating apparatus; a soft roller that is disposed in the downstream in the sheet conveying direction of the heating apparatus; and a guide member that is disposed in the immediate upstream in the sheet conveying direction with respect to the hard roller, and guides the sheet; wherein a nip width in the sheet conveying direction of a nip portion between the hard roller and the soft roller is set to be narrower in a central portion in an axial direction than end portions in the axial direction, and the guide member is configured to protrude in the central portion in the axial direction toward the downstream in the sheet conveying direction from the both end portions in the axial direction.
Abstract:
A transportation device includes a first roller that transports a sheet-shaped medium from an upstream to downstream in a transporting direction; a guide member that has a guide section extended along the transporting direction and is arranged upstream of the first roller in the transporting direction; and a second roller that is movable between a correcting position where the second roller pinches the sheet-shaped medium with the first roller and corrects a curl of the sheet-shaped medium, and a standby position where the second roller separates from the transporting passage further than the correcting position, wherein the guide member is movable to an escaping position that is separated from a moving passage that is from the correcting position to the standby position of the second roller if the second roller moves to the correcting position.
Abstract:
There are provided a roll sheet conveying apparatus and a sheet conveying control method wherein it is possible to control motor driving for conveying a roll sheet at appropriate timing to keep constant the tension of the sheet to be conveyed without performing a special identifying operation. For this feature, a relationship between friction load torque on the roll sheet and the mass of the roll sheet is previously stored in a storing unit, whereby the moment of inertia of the roll sheet can be detected at appropriate timing during printing. As a result, the optimum tension of the sheet to be conveyed can be maintained by appropriately adjusting the driving control of a sheet feeding motor and a conveying motor without performing a special identifying operation.
