Abstract:
Minimizing interference in a heterogeneous wireless network includes determining a group of potentially interfering access nodes from among the plurality of neighboring access nodes, based on reference signals transmitted from each of the plurality of neighboring access nodes, and communicating additional signal information between each access node within the group of potentially interfering access nodes. The additional signal information is associated with signals transmitted from said each access node within the group. Each access node within the group performs interference minimization based on the additional signal information, thereby enabling full-duplex operation.
Abstract:
Transmitting data via frame reconfiguration comprises encoding, at a source node, the data into a plurality of frame configurations, each of the plurality of frame configurations comprising a sequence of uplink and downlink subframes, and communicating, via an antenna of the source node, using the plurality of frame configurations, wherein a target node is configured to identify the plurality of frame configurations and decode the data.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described for scheduling wireless transmissions from an access node based on service provider. Data may be communicated between an access node and a plurality of wireless devices, wherein each of the plurality of wireless devices uses one of a first service provider and a second service provider to communicate with an access node. Transmissions may then be scheduled from the access node to the plurality of wireless devices based on a provider priority for the service providers and a backhaul congestion for each of the service providers.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described for determining a subframe configuration for an access node based on coverage. An access node may communicate with wireless devices using a subframe configuration, however there may be a plurality of subframe configuration options. A utility function may be calculated for each of the plurality of subframe configurations based on, for example, a coverage for each subframe configuration and a number of wireless devices serviced by each subframe configuration. The utility function may provide an indication of a subframe configuration's value to the wireless system based on considerations such as coverage over wireless devices and signal quality for the covered wireless devices. The subframe configuration with the greatest utility function may then be selected to be used for communication between the access node and wireless devices.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described for adjusting subframe transmissions based on uplink data rate. Data may be communicated between an access node and a plurality of wireless devices, wherein the data is scheduled for communication according to a first subframe configuration with a first mix of uplink and downlink subframes. An uplink data rate for at least one of the plurality of wireless devices over a first portion of a period of time may be compared to an uplink criteria. A scheduling for a set of subframes over a second portion of the period of time may be adjusted based on the comparison such that the set of subframes comprises a second mix of subframes, wherein the second mix comprises a greater proportion of uplink subframes than the first mix. And data may be communicated between the access node and the plurality of wireless devices according to the adjusted scheduling for the set of subframes, wherein the uplink data rate for the at least one wireless device is increased over the second portion of the period of time.
Abstract:
A system and method of scheduling communication in a wireless communication network are provided. A first access node can determine a scheduling scheme based on data addressed to wireless devices in communication with the first, second, and third access nodes. The data addressed to the wireless devices in communication with the first access node can be transmitted during a first subframe of the scheduling scheme where the first access node does not transmit data addressed to the wireless devices in communication with the first access node during a second subframe of the scheduling scheme. The second and third access nodes can be instructed to assign data addressed to wireless devices that do not meet a signal condition threshold to be transmitted during the first subframe and to assign data addressed to wireless devices that meet the signal condition threshold to be transmitted during the second subframe.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are described for managing communications of an access node and a relay node. Data may be communicated between an access node and a plurality of wireless devices over a first frequency band. Data may also be communicated between the access node and a relay node over the first frequency band, where the relay node may communicate with wireless devices over a second frequency band. It may be determined that a utilization of the second frequency band meets a criteria. Data may then be communicated between the access node and at least one of the plurality of wireless device over the second frequency band based on the determination that the utilization of the second frequency band meets the criteria.
