摘要： A correction value determining method of the present invention includes: causing a head to record a first pattern for confirming a transport amount of a medium, while transporting the medium in a transport direction relative to the head in accordance with a target transport amount; obtaining a first correction value that is associated with a relative position of the head and the medium based on the first pattern, the first correction value being a correction value for correcting the target transport amount during transport of the medium; causing the head to record a second pattern for confirming the transport amount of the medium, by transporting the medium while correcting the target transport amount using the first correction value associated with the relative position; obtaining a second correction value that is associated with the relative position of the head and the medium based on the second pattern, the second correction value being a correction value for correcting the target transport amount during transport of the medium; and determining a correction value of the target transport amount by making a use of the first correction value and the second correction value associated with the relative position when the medium ceases to be secured by a roller provided on an upstream side of the head in the transport direction different from a use of the first correction value and the second correction value associated with the relative position at times other than when the medium ceases to be secured by the roller.

摘要： A line position calculating method is a method for calculating a position, in a second direction, of a line along a first direction in an image, based on image data of the image constituted by a plurality of pixels arranged in a matrix form in the first direction and in the second direction, the method obtains pixel data of each of a plurality of pixels arranged in the first direction, calculates an extent of unevenness of each tone value indicating the pixel data of each of the plurality of pixels arranged in the first direction, sets a threshold value according to the extent of unevenness, sets a range based on the threshold value, detects a defective pixel in which the tone value indicating the pixel data is out of the range, calculates a representative value indicating a tone value of a pixel row, based on the pixel data of the pixels other than the defective pixel of the plurality of pixels constituting the pixel row, and calculates a position, in the second direction, of the line, based on the representative value of each pixel row.

摘要： A transport amount correcting method is provided that includes: (A) determining whether or not correction values associated with relative positions of a head and a medium are stored in a memory, wherein the correction values are correction values for correcting target transport amounts when transporting the medium, and the medium is of a predetermined combination of a type and size of the medium; and (B) transporting, when carrying out transport of the medium of the predetermined combination, the medium while correcting a target transport amount using a correction value corresponding to a relative position at a time of carrying out the transport, and transporting, when carrying out transport of a medium other than the predetermined combination, the medium while correcting the target transport amount using a fixed correction value.

摘要： A transport mechanism transports a medium in a transport direction based on a target transport amount and has a first roller provided on an upstream side in the transport direction and a second roller provided on a downstream side in the transport direction. Correction values are calculated based on an interval between the lines in the transport direction. The transport mechanism is controlled based on a corrected target transport amount after correcting the target transport amount based on the correction values. Lines are formed by ejecting ink from a first nozzle when the first roller is in contact with the medium, and ejecting ink from a second nozzle on a downstream side from the first nozzle in the transport direction when the first roller is not in contact with the medium and the second roller is in contact with the medium.

摘要： A fluid ejecting apparatus and a method for correcting pixel data are disclosed. The fluid ejecting apparatus includes a nozzle line having nozzles which eject fluid onto a medium and are lined up in a predetermined direction; a moving mechanism relatively moving the nozzle line and the medium in a direction intersecting the predetermined direction; and a control unit that ejects the fluid from the nozzle line while relatively moving the nozzle line and the medium in the intersecting direction by using the moving mechanism, based on pixel data of the predetermined number of gradations according to certain kinds of dots which can be formed by the fluid ejected from the nozzles, the control unit correcting the pixel data of the predetermined number of gradations in accordance with the correction value set for every image line data which is the plurality of pixel data lined up in a direction corresponding to the intersecting direction in the pixel data.
