    摘要: Systems and methods are described herein that allow information carrying bits of a transmission block to be placed at higher-reliability positions prior to transmission. An exemplary method includes generating a set of payload bits to be encoded for transmission, wherein the set of payload bits includes at least one known bit, interleaving the set of payload bits to generate an interleaved set of payload bits, wherein the interleaved set includes the at least one known bit in a predetermined position in the interleaved set, providing the interleaved set to a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) encoder to generate CRC-interleaved set of payload bits, wherein the CRC-interleaved set includes the at least one known bit in a predetermined position within the CRC-interleaved set, and encoding the CRC-interleaved set for transmission to a wireless device. Associated network nodes and wireless devices are included.

    摘要: According to an aspect, a wireless terminal performs a method for a random access procedure in a wireless network. The method includes maintaining a preamble transmission attempt counter that tracks the number of random access preamble transmissions that are triggered and/or initiated in the random access procedure, including random access preamble transmissions that are aborted prior to completion of the transmission. The method also includes terminating the random access procedure in response to determining that the preamble transmission attempt counter indicates that a predetermined threshold number of transmission attempts have been made. Reports pertaining to failed preamble transmissions may be sent to the network, which then adjusts a configuration of the wireless terminal. The wireless terminal may also track time during an interval in which a preamble may be used in the random access procedure and terminate the random access procedure in response to determining that the interval has expired.

    摘要: Systems and methods enabling uplink power sharing for dual connectivity are disclosed. Embodiments are described herein in which a maximum Uplink (UL) power on each link is configured statically, semi-statically, or dynamically. In general, regardless of the embodiment, uplink power for uplink transmissions from a wireless device on two simultaneous links is controlled such that the total uplink power does not exceeds a maximum UL transmission power level while, in some embodiments, taking into account priorities of the two links and/or priorities of various uplink channels transmitted by the wireless device on the two links. Notably, while the embodiments described herein focus on dual connectivity, the embodiments described herein can easily be extended to any number of two or more simultaneous links.

    摘要: According to some embodiments, a method of operating a wireless device in a wireless system comprises allocating a first uplink sub-channel to the wireless device in a first subframe associated with the wireless device. The first uplink sub-channel comprises a portion of an uplink system bandwidth, and portions of the uplink system bandwidth outside of the first uplink sub-channel are not available for transmission in the first subframe by the wireless device. The method further comprises determining a first sounding reference signal (SRS) sub-channel. The first SRS sub-channel comprises a portion of the first uplink sub-channel in frequency domain, and the SRS sub-channel is available for transmitting SRS in the first subframe by the wireless device.
