摘要： In a hydraulic tensioner, a deairing valve unit, for releasing air mixed with oil in the high pressure oil chamber of the tensioner, comprises a check ball, a retainer, which envelops the check ball, but allows the check ball to move freely between an inflow end and an outflow end of a retainer passage, and a cylindrical ball seat press-fit into to a recess formed in a front end of the retainer. The deairing valve unit communicates with an exhaust vent formed in the front end of the plunger. A ball biasing spring is optionally provided to bias the check ball toward the ball seat.

摘要： In a hydraulic chain tensioner for an engine timing drive, an annular groove is formed on an outer circumferential surface of a plunger, and a friction ring is disposed in the groove. The friction ring is composed of an external resin ring and an internal steel ring incorporated into the inside of the resin ring. The friction ring is fitted into the annular groove of the plunger with a predetermined axial clearance. It allows the tensioner to operate with good responsiveness during normal engine operation, but resists excessive slack in the chain, and prevents backlash and fluttering, during engine start-up.

摘要： In a hydraulic tensioner, a deairing valve unit comprising a synthetic resin ball guide, a check ball a biasing spring, a ball seat, and a retaining disc, is press-fit into a hollow plunger, and disposed adjacent the protruding end of the plunger. The ball and seat of the deairing valve unit are arranged to block flow of oil out of the tensioner when the oil is under pressure, but open to allow air to flow out of the tensioner, through a vent in the protruding end of the plunger, after a negative pressure condition occurs inside the oil chamber of the tensioner.

摘要： A chain tensioner comprising a housing, a plunger having racks formed on its opposite sides, a protrusion biasing spring, cams arranged in oblique guide grooves in the housing and engageable with the racks of the plunger, and a spacer supporting a cam biasing spring. The minimum backlash distance X is equal to h/tan θ, where h is the height of the rack teeth, and θ is the angle of the cam guide surfaces relative to the protruding direction of the plunger. The angle θ is between 15° and 70°. The tensioner prevents wobbling noises produced by a timing chain on starting an engine, prevents whistling sounds due to excess tensioning of the chain, and allows backlash to be readily set to accommodate the requirements of a wide variety of engines.

摘要： A rotary atomizing head type coating system capable of multiple color changes in the course of a coating operation. A housing (12) with a coating machine (19) is mounted on a wrist portion (5) of a coating robot. Provided for the coating system are a plural number of feeder units (29) which serve as separate sources for a variety of paint colors and which each accommodate a paint valve (40) and a solvent valve (41). Through paint hoses (42) and solvent hoses (43), the respective feeder unit (29) are connected to paint supply lines (49) of different colors and a solvent supply line (52). In order to supply paint of different colors to the coating machine (19) during a coating operation, the feeder units (29) are selectively and replaceably loaded into the housing (12). The use of a plural number of feeder units (29) which can be replaceably attached to the coating machine (19) makes it possible for the coating system (11) to cope with multiple color changes whenever necessary in the course of a coating operation.

摘要： A coating system which is provided with a plural number of feeder units for different paint colors in such a way as to permit color changes within a shortened period of time. Unit waiting devices for different paint colors are located in the vicinity of a coating robot. The unit waiting devices each include a feeder unit loader adapted to load and unload one of feeder units into and out of a rotary atomizing head type coating machine, which is mounted on a fore end portion of the arm of the coating robot, and a hose gripper adapted to hand over or receive one of supply hoses to and from a hose gripper which is provided on the side of the arm. As a consequence, the paint color can be changed by replacing a paint feeder unit on the coating machine by a specified one of feeder units of different colors which are supported on the unit waiting devices.
