摘要： A development device includes a developer container reserving a liquid developer containing toner particles and a carrier liquid. A developer supply member supplies a developer supporting member with liquid developer. An agitating member is disposed in the developer container and supplies the developer supply member with the liquid developer. A developer supporting member cleaning member removes liquid developer on the developer supporting member. The developer container includes a first developer holding section having at least one communication section for making liquid developer flow in, a second developer holding section for reserving liquid developer recovered by the developer supporting member cleaning member, and a partition member partitioning between the first and second developer holding sections, and at least one flowing section shifted from the communication section in an axial direction of the agitating member and allowing liquid developer to move between the first and second developer holding sections.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion that superposes images on an intermediate transfer member by rotations of the intermediate transfer member to form a color image on the intermediate transfer member, a transfer portion that transfers the image formed on the intermediate transfer member in the image forming portion to a sheet, a fixing portion that fixes the image onto the sheet, and a switchback portion that switches back the sheet so as to return the sheet to the transfer portion for forming the image on a second face of the sheet, after the image has been formed on a first face of the sheet. The sheet is returned through a return path at a return speed equal to or lower than a delivery speed of the sheet in the transfer portion, when the image for the second face of the sheet is the color image.

摘要： A fuser allows a sheet medium on which a toner image has formed to path through while heating the sheet medium, thereby fusing the toner image on the sheet medium. A plurality of first rollers are arrayed in a first direction. A plurality of second rollers are arrayed in the first direction and respectively coming in contact with the first rollers with a first pressure. The second rollers are adapted to eject the sheet medium nipped between the first rollers and the second rollers to the outside of the apparatus in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. A plurality of third rollers are arrayed in the first direction so that each of the third rollers is disposed between adjacent ones of the first rollers, the third roller adapted to be brought into contact with the sheet medium with a second pressure which is smaller than the first pressure.

The controller operates the moving plate of the document mover to move the document that has been returned to the document bearing plate to the document setting position, then operates the document presser to press the document that has been moved to the document setting position, and causes the moving plate of the document mover to recede, while maintaining the document in a pressed state.

摘要： An automatic document feeder conveys an original along a conveying path to an original reading section in an image processor. First and second registration rollers for abutting the conveyed original against their contact portions, and a guide plate for guiding the conveyance of the original to the registration rollers are arranged in the conveying path. The first registration roller includes a plurality of reversing rollers made of rubber for reversing the original along a reversing path, and the reversing rollers are arranged a predetermined distance away from each other along an axis of their supporting shaft. A side edge in the direction of conveyance of the guide plate is in such a comb shape that projections and non-projections are alternatively formed. Each of the projections is opposite to a region between the adjacent reversing rollers, and extends toward the downstream side of the contact portions in the direction of conveyance. Each of the non-projections is opposite to each of the reversing rollers, and is positioned on the upstream side of the contact portions in the direction of conveyance and is in close proximity to the contact portions.
