Abstract: The invention relates to an image-projection system which comprises a device (1) for emitting a light beam (10) and means for forming an image from said light beam (10), said image being broken down into frames projected consecutively by said system. The system comprises means (12) for dimming the light beam (10) comprising a liquid crystal cell (16), capable of being controlled by an alternating signal between two voltage levels, said alternating signal being generated by a signal generator (19), said signal generator (19) switching said alternating signal from one voltage level to the other between the projections of two consecutive frames of the image.
