Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling braking of a vehicle (1), comprising a diesel engine (100) and an exhaust after treatment (EAT) system (200) for treating exhaust from said diesel engine (100), a set of ground engaging members (300), and a transmission (400) between said set of ground engaging members (300) and said diesel engine (100). The method comprises: —In response to a determined present engine speed being equal to or less than a current engine braking minimum limit speed: changing the gear ratio of said transmission (400) such that an updated engine speed is obtained, whereby a determined present engine speed is above said current engine braking minimum limit speed (S60), and—In response to the determined present engine speed being above said current engine braking minimum limit speed: engine braking so as to decrease said present engine speed (S70). The invention also relates to a computer program, a computer readable medium, a control unit, and a vehicle comprising a control unit.

Abstract: An automatic cruise control system for controlling at least a powertrain of a vehicle, the cruise control system being configured to automatically control a vehicle speed to a target speed determined based on a set speed and on information relating to a road topography along an expected travelling route of the vehicle. The automatic cruise control system is configured to: while automatically controlling the vehicle speed to the target speed, receive an indication that a slippery road condition applies or is expected to apply, in response to receiving said indication, activate a predefined slippery road condition driving mode in which predetermined restrictions apply, said restrictions relating to at least one of the vehicle speed, an allowable vehicle acceleration, and a gear selection of the powertrain, control at least the powertrain in accordance with the slippery road condition driving mode.

Abstract: A vehicle driver feedback system includes a control unit and a display unit. The control unit is arranged for registering a driver-influenced vehicle driving parameter and the display unit is positioned in the vehicle and arranged for displaying information to the vehicle driver. The control unit further is arranged for: iteratively calculating and storing at least one score value based on the at least one driver-influenced vehicle driving parameter, wherein the at least one score value reflects a magnitude of driver-induced energy waste; driver-induced fuel waste; driver-induced vehicle wear; unsafe driving; or a weighted combination of at least two thereof, and displaying on the display unit during driving of the vehicle a graphical score value development over time or relative to the travelled route as feedback to the vehicle driver.

Abstract: A method is provided for adapting the starting gear of an automated manual transmission in a heavy vehicle, where a pre-selected starting gear is selected by a transmission control unit depending on vehicle parameters of the heavy vehicle, where the starting gear is lowered from the pre-selected starting gear depending on a movement behavior of a vehicle in front of the heavy vehicle. The pre-selected starting gear can be adapted to the traffic in front of the vehicle, which makes it possible to avoid unnecessary gear changes and which allows for a smooth starting cycle of the vehicle.
