Abstract: A network device may determine a geographical distance between an earth station and the network device. The network device may determine a location for an exclusion zone, associated with the earth station, based on the geographical distance. The network device may generate an exclusion zone system information block that identifies the location for the exclusion zone. The network device may provide, to the user equipment, the exclusion zone system information block.

Abstract: An example method can include receiving, from a user equipment, single-network slice selection assistance information (S-NSSAI). The method can include determining a resource sharing configuration (RSC) associated with the S-NSSAI and determining whether the S-NSSAI is associated with a network slice instance (NSI) of the network. When the S-NSSAI is determined to be associated with a first NSI, the method can include mapping the S-NSSAI to the first NSI to permit the user equipment to communicate via the first NSI using a protocol data unit (PDU) session associated with the S-NSSAI. When the S-NSSAI is not determined to be associated with an NSI, the method can include forming a second NSI of the network according to the RSC associated with the S-NSSAI and mapping the S-NSSAI to the second NSI to permit the user equipment to communicate via the second NSI using a PDU session associated with the S-NSSAI.

Abstract: A device can receive, from a network device, a request to create an internet protocol (IP) session for a user device. The device can allocate an IP address for the user device and a first tunnel endpoint identifier associated with a tunnel. The IP address can include a first set of bits associated with a location identifier and a second set of bits associated with a device identifier. The device can provide a response to the network device, and can receive a request that includes a second tunnel endpoint identifier associated with the tunnel. The device can provide the IP address and the first and second tunnel endpoint identifiers to be stored using a data structure. The device can provide a response to the network device indicating to establish the downlink portion of the IP session, and can perform one or more actions associated with managing the IP session.

Abstract: A device is configured to transmit uplink data to a base station using a resource. The device may receive an acknowledgment from the base station based on the uplink data. The acknowledgment may indicate a positive acknowledgment or a negative acknowledgment. The device may decode the acknowledgment as the positive acknowledgment or the negative acknowledgment. The device may receive a control message from the base station indicating resource assignments for user devices.
