    摘要: A new single stage, single switch input current shaping circuit features substantially reduced turn-on switching losses of the switch in the flyback-converter. In this technique, the turn-on switching losses due to the discharge of the output capacitance of the switch are reduced by turning on the switch when its voltage is minimal or close to the minimal. To achieve the turn-on loss reduction for a wide range of line and load conditions, the flyback-converter stage is continuously operated at the boundary of the CCM and DCM by employing a variable-frequency control. In this technique the boost inductor can work either in the DCM or the CCM. The wide-bandwidth, variable-frequency control is implemented by detecting the onset of the DCM/CCM boundary and, subsequently, turning the switch on at the minimum switch voltage. The switch is turned off when the increasing primary current reaches a reference level set by the output-voltage feedback control circuit.

    摘要: A robust decoder generates an output state from input signals related to the line-voltage signals of a three-phase power system, using a segment identification method based on zero-crossings derived from line-voltage difference signals. The robust decoder includes a basic decoder that provides a current output state based on the input signals, a state table that provides a presumed previous state based on the current output state of the basic decoder, a binary feed back loop including a state element for storing a previous output state, and a selector for providing the output state based on the stored previous output state and the presumed previous state. The robust decoder may be implemented as hardware or software in a digital power converter. Such a digital power converter may include boost inductors each receiving an input line voltage signal from the three-phase power system to provide phase voltage signals, switches receiving the phase voltage signals to provide an intermediate voltage signal, the plurality of switches each being control by a driving signal, an output circuit coupled to the intermediate voltage signal to provide a rectified output voltage signal for digital power converter, and a digital control circuit receiving the input line voltages and the output voltage signal, the digital control circuit generating the driving signals to control the switches. The switches may be configured according to a state machine.

    摘要: A half-bridge zero-voltage-switched multi-resonant converter. The converter basically comprises a device for converting an input voltage signal to a DC output signal to be imposed across a load. The device includes input terminals for receiving the input signal and output terminals for imposing the DC output signal across the load. Serially connected first and second switching assemblies are connected in parallel across the input terminals. Each of the first and second switching assemblies includes a transistor switch, a diode and a capacitor all arranged in parallel. The device further includes a transformer having a primary winding and serially connected first and second secondary windings. A first rectifier in parallel with a first resonant capacitor is used to connect the first secondary winding across the output terminals. Circuitry is provided for connecting the primary winding of the transformer to the input terminals and to the serial connection between the first and second switching assemblies. In order to complete the zero-voltage-switched multi-resonant converter for off-line use, a resonant circuit is formed with the first and second resonant capacitors and the total inductance of the primary winding of the transformer.

    摘要: A single-stage input-current-shaping (S2ICS) flyback converter achieves substantially reduced conduction losses in the primary side of the S2ICS flyback converter by connecting a bypass diode between the positive terminal of a full-bridge rectifier and the positive terminal of an energy-storage capacitor. An effective current interleaving between an energy-storage inductor and the bypass diode is thus obtained in the S2ICS flyback converter around the peak of the rectified line voltage, resulting in a significantly reduced input-current ripple and reduced current stress on the switch. Further, by rearranging the rectifiers in the ICS part of the S2ICS flyback converter in such a way that the energy-storage capacitor and the ICS inductor are connected to the ac line voltage through only two rectifiers, one diode forward-voltage drop is eliminated, which results in a substantially reduced conduction loss in the primary-side rectifiers.
