摘要: Enabling the co-existence of contention based random access (CBRA) and contention free random access (CFRA) is an effective technique to improve network flexibility and usage of network resources. In some embodiments, all available communication opportunities in the CBRA schedule and all available communication opportunities in the CFRA schedule may be used to generate a final schedule Different subsets of preamble indices are employed to ensure that both CBRA and CFRA communications can co-exist. In other embodiments, all available communication opportunities in the CBRA schedule, but only the dedicated communication opportunities in the CFRA schedule, may be used to generate a final schedule. As a result, a smaller subset of preamble indices is used.

摘要: Systems, devices, and techniques are described for performing paging in a wireless communication network. A method includes mapping a paging indication to one or more resource elements. The one or more resource elements are resources in one or more synchronization signal symbols that are not mapped by the synchronization signal. The method includes transmitting the paging indication to trigger a response from a user equipment for performing subsequent paging.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, and systems for reducing signaling overhead in a primary while supporting fast activation of one or more secondary cells are described. In one example aspect, a wireless communication method includes receiving, by a mobile device, a signaling message from a base station for configuring a primary cell and at least one secondary cell. The secondary cell is configured with at least one bandwidth part and the signaling message includes a first information element associated with the bandwidth part. The first information element further includes a second information element for enabling or disabling cross-carrier scheduling for the bandwidth part. The method also includes performing, by the mobile device, blind decoding to obtain scheduling information with respect to the bandwidth part based on whether the cross-carrier scheduling for the bandwidth part is enabled or disabled.
