摘要:
A white pre-treatment composition and printing method using such pre-treatment composition are disclosed. Said white pre-treatment composition encompasses a liquid vehicle, a polyvalent metal salt, a latex resin and, at least, 8 wt % of a titanium dioxide particles dispersion. Also disclosed is an ink-set containing said white pre-treatment composition and, at least, an ink composition comprising a liquid vehicle and a colorant.
摘要:
An inkjet ink composition includes: from 0.25 to 6 weight percent colorant; from 7 to 40 weight percent solvent; from 0.05 to 5 weight percent surfactant; and polyurethane binder in an amount of at least 0.5 weight percent of the inkjet ink composition but not more than twice the weight percent of the colorant. The polyurethane binder has a molecular weight from 32 K to 50 K and an acid number from 40 to 45. The polyurethane binder includes polyether polyol, aliphatic isocyanate and an acid group and does not include chain extenders.
摘要:
A positive-working electrostatic liquid developer consisting essentially of (A) a nonpolar liquid having a Kauri-butanol value of less than 30, present in a major amount;(B) thermoplastic resin particles having dispersed therein a quaternary ammonium compound which is substantially insoluble in the nonpolar liquid and is represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 may be the same or different and are hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 40 carbon atoms, aryl of 6 to 30 carbon atoms, and any of the group R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 may be joined to form a 5 or 6 membered ring, and A.sup.- is an anion; and (C) a nonpolar liquid soluble ionic or zwitterionic charge director compound. The process of preparation of the electrostatic liquid developer is described. The liquid developers are useful in copying, color proofing including digital color proofing, lithographic printing plates and resists.
摘要:
A method and apparatus for classifying non-aqueous liquid suspensions of charged particles employs a large time-varying electric field applied to a suspension situated between capacitive test electrodes. A current waveform is produced that characterizes the suspension with respect to critical properties including concentration, mobility, and plating tendencies of the charged particles suspended therein. The approach is suitable for use with suspensions having relative permitivity constants of about 15 or less.
