Abstract: A tracking device comprises a flexible belt body configured to loop around a portion of a pallet, e.g., around a center stringer of a pallet. The flexible belt body has a first portion and a second portion configured to be connected. The tracking device further comprises a first region having one or more sensitive electronic components and a second region having one or more durable electronic components and/or electronic components that benefit from exposure during transportation. The tracking device is positioned on the portion of the pallet such that the first region is oriented towards an interior of the pallet and the second region is oriented towards an exterior of the pallet.

Abstract: A solar-powered wireless communication device a flexible circuit, a device layer positioned adjacent to the flexible circuit and having a plurality of electronic components coupled to the flexible circuit, a flexible cover positioned over the device layer, a flexible substrate coupled with a second side of the flexible circuit, opposite the first side, by a first adhesive layer, and a solar panel positioned at a surface of the solar-powered tape node and coupling with the flexible circuit. The solar panel has a light-receiving surface facing away from the flexible circuit and is operable to generate electrical power when light is incident on the light-receiving surface. The solar-powered wireless communication device being operable to determine that power available to the solar-powered wireless communication device is below a first threshold and delegate at least one task of the solar-powered wireless communication device to another node of a network communications environment.

Abstract: A plurality of tape agents includes an autonomous master wireless tape agent. The autonomous wireless tape agent includes a first wireless communications interface type operative to communicate over a wireless communications link with an associated secondary wireless agent. The autonomous master wireless tape agent corresponds to a child node in a wireless agent hierarchy. The secondary wireless agent includes a second wireless communications interface type that has a longer wireless communications range than a wireless communications range of the first wireless communications interface type. The secondary wireless agent corresponds to a parent node in the wireless agent hierarchy. The master wireless tape agent governs the wireless communications link and traffic between the master wireless tape agent and the secondary wireless agent. The master wireless tape agent is operative to schedule a designated time slot for each secondary wireless agent transmission. The secondary wireless agent is operative to synchronize its transmit and receive timing with that of the master wireless tape agent and respond to requests received from the master wireless tape agent.

The wireless sensing system may transmit a notification to a user of the wireless sensing system. The notification may alert the user of the wireless sensing system that the tampering event has occurred.
