摘要： A page turning device is provided that can be mounted on the end of a cylindrical writing instrument, such as a pencil. The page turning device has a substantially spherical body which has a plurality of deformable protuberances spaced about the outer surface of the body. The protuberances have an adhesive quality sufficient to grip a page of paper and are sized and spaced so that the body of the page turning device is prevented from contacting the page of paper to be turned. The page turning device has a hollow base connected to the outer surface of the body so that the page turning device can be mounted on the end of a cylindrical writing instrument.

摘要： A finger patch with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing, is a molded solid rubber body which is concave in the undeformed condition, and has a relatively thick mid-portion and a relatively thin edge entirely surrounding the body. The outer surface of the edge is disposed at an acute angle to the underside of the body that contacts the fingertip of the user, thereby to avoid catching of the patch on the edges of papers handled by the user. The patch has a thickness of the thickened mid-portion of 0.023 to 0.049 inch, a Shore "A" hardness of 43-47 and a concavity of about 1/8 inch in its undeformed condition. A release paper covers the pressure-sensitive adhesive, the finger patch being oval and the release paper having a tail that extends from only one end of the oval finger patch.

摘要： An apparatus for printing images on a booklet comprises, first and second paired pinch rollers for conveying pages of the opened booklet to a printing head, located between these paired pinch rollers, a rotatable platen opposed to the printing head and located between the paired pinch rollers, guide plate for guiding one page of the opened booklet to the platen, and a press member for fixing the free end of the one page to the platen. The second paired rollers hold the other page of the booklet but may slipe the page when the free end of the one page is fixed onto the platen thereby adding tension to the other page of the booklet as the platen is rotated. The layout of the recorded images are changed and then printed on the page.

A pair of bent spring mounted wires for holding opposing pages of the reading material open for reading without substantial visual interference of the pages is mounted to the base and adjustable to the thickness of the reading material and having a variable friction adjustment so as to enable the force of the wires against the pages to be varied and also permitting manipulation of said pages by the stick employed by the reader.

摘要： A device for turning over book leaves is disclosed, which comprises a book holder for supporting a book in an open state, a movable unit disposed above the book holder and capable of vertical and horizontal movement, and a turn-over roller and a pinch member both mounted in said movable unit. The turn-over roller is brought into contact with the page of the book to be turned over with the movement of the movable unit. Then it is rotated toward the book seam to cause a plurality of book leaves including a leaf to be turned over to be turned up in between it and the pinch member. Then it is rotated in the opposite direction to release the turned-up leaves other than the leaf to be turned over. The remaining leaf to be turned over is moved with the movement of the movable unit toward the book seam to effect the turn-over.

A page lifting facility cooperates with the rotation of the first elongated arm to permit the first elongated arm to rotate between a lifted upper leaf and the remainder of the leaves of the volume. Continued rotation of the first elongated arm turns the upper leaf and positions the arm for turning of the next leaf. In this manner an unlimited number of leaves may be sequentially turned by a mechanically simple device which is immediately ready for use when a volume is positioned thereon.

摘要： A page-turning device comprises a bi-directional drive and a page-turning unit including an arm of crescent shape having an outer convex surface engageable with the underface of the uppermost page on one side of the book center-line for turning same when the unit is driven in one direction, and an inner concave surface engageable with the uppermost page on the other side of the book center-line for turning the page when the unit is driven in the opposite direction. The unit preferably has two (or more) such arms equally spaced about the circumference of the unit. The illustrated device includes two of such page-turning units, one serving to turn the pages and the other serving to pick them up according to the drive direction. Each unit may include a helical recess for pre-loading the pages, or an arcing finger for arcing each page before being engaged by the respective arm.
