摘要: A device for turning pages in a book includes a main frame and a bottom support configured for engaging a bottom lip of a book's binder. The bottom support is hingedly connected to the main frame. A top support is configured for engaging a top lip of a book's binder. The top support is hingedly connected to the main frame. A kick stand extends from a back surface of the main frame for providing support to the device. A light is carried by the bottom support or top support for providing illumination of the book. A pair of blades extend from one of the bottom support or the top support for imparting movement of pages of the book to a subsequent page. An actuator imparts movement to the blades and the actuator is responsive to detecting a user's audible instruction to change a page.

摘要: When a page turner is to be accommodated, a holding table is folded, and an air blowing section is rotated and moved toward a side surface of an accommodation case where a page-turning mechanism can be accommodated, whereby the upper surface of the accommodation case and the air blowing port of the air blowing section are substantially flush with each other. Also, an expansion unit is removed from the holding table, and a casing is closed to cover a page-turning main body section constituted by the accommodation case and the air blowing section and the holding table. As a result, the entire page turner is accommodated in a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape whose vertical and horizontal size is equal to a vertical and horizontal size of a predetermined book. Finally, the page turner is inserted between a pair of side plates constituting leg sections in an image pickup apparatus stand.

摘要: A system and method for automatically turning the pages of an open book (80) without user intervention for the purposes of digital imaging or viewing. One embodiment of the system includes a rotating platform (15) for mounting the open book (80), a page lifter (51), a transparent stationary hood (62), and a camera (201). As the platform (15) rotates, the page lifter (51) is dropped onto the uppermost page on the leading side of the book (80). The uppermost page is held fast and lifted up by the page lifter (51). The platform (15) continues to rotate, peeling the uppermost page free from the page lifter (51) and eventually trapping the book completely under the hood (62) which holds the book (80) open and keeps the uppermost pages visible. The platform (15) rotation is paused momentarily to allow for image capture by a camera (201) viewing the open book (80) through the hood (62). Other embodiments are described and shown.

摘要: A page turning apparatus of a passbook printer, which detects a turning error or the like at the early stage of turning irrespective of the size and characteristics of passbooks and allows retry of turning in a short time. The apparatus includes: a passbook conveying path; a detecting device placed on the conveying path; storing means that stores a passbook holding position and a threshold value corresponding to a determined size; a page turning mechanism configured to buckle the paper of an turning target page and to turn the buckled paper at the passbook holding position; a buckling sensor that senses a buckling status; a conveying mechanism that can convey the passbook to a designated position on the conveying path; and control means configured to drive the conveying mechanism so that the passbook is conveyed to the passbook holding position, and drive the page turning mechanism to buckle the paper, wherein the control means, if the buckling status sensed by the buckling sensor indicates that the buckling extent does not reach over the threshold value within a predetermined time, determines that the buckling has failed and drives the conveying mechanism so that the passbook is conveyed from the passbook holding position to a revised position apart therefrom by a predetermined adjusting distance.
