A method for that grooving work includes a first cutting step of cutting a slope portion, an outer circumference portion and an undercut portion by using a first cutting tool, and a second cutting step of cutting a constricted portion by using a second cutting tool.

    摘要: A magnetic tape drive for insertion of a magnetic tape cartridge of the type having an access door pivotally mounted on a long side of the cartridge is disclosed. The cartridge is inserted through a slot in a front panel of a drawer with the long side of the cartridge parallel to the insertion direction. When the cartridge is inserted, the drawer is in an extended position and is held there by a drawer stopping mechanism. The cartridge is inserted through the slot onto the drawer as far as is permitted by a cartridge stopping mechanism. A rotatably mounted front door on the front panel of the drawer is then rotated closed and the access door of the cartridge is opened by a cam mounted on the front door in response to the rotation thereof. Cartridge and drawer release mechanisms then allow the cartridge and drawer to be fully inserted into a frame of the drive, and as the drawer and cartridge approach their operative positions in the drive, a magnetic head is moved into its operative position with respect to the cartridge in response to movement of the drawer. In addition, means for simultaneously detecting completion of insertion of the cartridge and drawer are provided.

Steps of the disk are selectively positioned between a member attached to the magnetic head and a fixed position reference surface, with the disk being normally held pressed between the magnetic head mounting member and the reference surface by a spring and being made free to rotate when the magnetic head mounting member is pulled apart from the position reference surface by a solenoid, to enable the disk to be rotated to select a step of different thickness for determining a different position of the magnetic head.

    摘要: A device for turning over book leaves is disclosed, which comprises a book holder for supporting a book in an open state, a movable unit disposed above the book holder and capable of vertical and horizontal movement, and a turn-over roller and a pinch member both mounted in said movable unit. The turn-over roller is brought into contact with the page of the book to be turned over with the movement of the movable unit. Then it is rotated toward the book seam to cause a plurality of book leaves including a leaf to be turned over to be turned up in between it and the pinch member. Then it is rotated in the opposite direction to release the turned-up leaves other than the leaf to be turned over. The remaining leaf to be turned over is moved with the movement of the movable unit toward the book seam to effect the turn-over.

These LSMs are connected to a centralized system controller. The centralized system controller has a computer and a magnetic disk for storing a schedule for determining the mode of each LSM.The computer reads out the schedule table from the magnetic disk and controls the modes of the LSM for performing the primary or secondary sortation according to the kinds and amount of the postal matter to be sorted.
