Abstract:
A heat press includes a handle portion and a curved heat plate. That handle portion may be configured to be grasped by a user, and the curved heat (i.e., having a curved engagement surface) may be configured to engage a heat-activated design implement to transfer a design of the heat-activated design implement to a curved surface of a workpiece. Also disclosed herein, according to various embodiments, is a heat press stand having a curved floor and a hat form for supporting a workpiece (e.g., a hat) during a heat-activated design transfer using the heat press. Associated methods are also disclosed herein.
Abstract:
An electrically-powered ironing device having a sole plate on an upper arm and a sole plate on a lower arm, wherein the arms can be moved into different positions to allow a user various ways of using the device. More specifically, the ironing device includes two arms, at least two sole plates with at least one sole plate located on each arm, a plurality of heat settings, a hinge connecting the two arms together, and a power source.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an ironing iron including a sole plate (1), wherein at least one V-shaped recess (6) is placed, said recess (6) being particularly defined by a removable insert (2) forming a contour relative to the plane of the sole plate (1) and comprising at least one steam outlet (3), the recess further communicating with at least one steam inlet (7).
Abstract:
Methods and systems for cooling a soleplate of an iron are disclosed. A method may include flowing a cooling fluid adjacent at least a portion of the soleplate and transferring heat energy from the soleplate to the cooling fluid.
Abstract:
A clothing iron with detachable light assembly that includes a clothing iron assembly and a detachable light assembly secured to the forward end of the clothing iron assembly. The detachable light assembly being is shaped to seat into a light assembly mating recess of the clothing iron when the plug of the light assembly is inserted into the jack of the iron assembly. The light assembly has a number of high intensity bulbs spaced there along to direct high intensity illumination onto an item being ironed.
Abstract:
An electric iron having a housing (1) and a soleplate (2) in which at least one outlet opening (10;15;34;45) is provided, means (8;19;28;39;43) for generating a fine liquid spray or foam or steam, and means (5) for delivering said generated fine liquid spray or foam or steam through said outlet opening. According to the invention, the iron is provided with detection means (12,14;22,23;35,36;49) for detecting the presence of a surface (7a) in the proximity of the sloplate (2) and for generating a detection signal in response to said detection, and with control means (6) for controlling the delivery of said fine liquid spray or foam or steam in response of said detection signal. For example, the detection means comprise a movable spring-loaded contact element (12) located in the soleplate (2), said element (12) activating a switch (14) for generating said signal when the soleplate is positioned against said surface (7a) and thus depresses said element (12).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to heating trowel which processes by heat while observing the status of the working material, such as soldering iron, plastic welder, iron, hair iron and the like, and specifically it relates to heating trowel that could be used within few seconds from providing power. A heating trowel comprises a heating wire made of metal plate such as iron chrome alloy and which is thinned to the limit that it could maintain shape, an electrical insulator which is a thin plate of aluminum nitride and the like having more than 10 times the heat conductivity of said heating wire, and a trowel tip/heat storage made from copper and the like having more than twice the heat conductivity of the aluminum nitride and the like and also having high heat capacity, and formed by sufficiently adhering these components closely by pressing and the like using a heat insulating supporter. Also, it is divided into two to a bare heating trowel and a receiving heating device. The control method comprises providing a fixed large amount of electricity for a fixed short period of time to a heating wire by operating a power switch once and rising the temperature of a trowel tip/heat storage rapidly and obtaining a desired temperature by pressing the switch for a simple countable number of times. The heating trowel mentioned above could have 10 times larger heat value than the conventional one so that it could heat the trowel tip/heat storage having large heat capacity rapidly. Also, by rising the temperature of the trowel tip stepwise by switch operation, it could be controlled without a measurement device or a control mechanism. Also, when it reaches desired temperature, the stored heat is large so that it could be used without heating. Therefore, a bare heating trowel free of cords could be used.
Abstract:
A steam iron, particularly of the so called "drop-by-drop" type, where in order to cause an instantaneous steam production, the water which is contained in a reservoir (11) incorporated in the iron falls drop-by-drop into a vaporization chamber (2) provided in the inner side of the sole plate (1) of the iron in registry with the heating resistance of the sole plate (1), the so-generated steam being conveyed outwards through holes (7) in the sole plate (1). The iron is constituted by two parts (1,10) which are releasably fastened to each other by a latching device. One of the parts forms the body (10) of the iron, with the handle (110), the water reservoir (11), a portion of the latch, and the portion of the electrical connector with the diverting lug, while the other part forms the sole plate (1) of the iron with the electrical resistance, vaporization chamber (2), another portion of the latch, and the other portion of the electrical connector with the gate. The Lug and gate coact upon assembly or disassembly to protect the user from electrical shock.
