摘要: A flow meter includes a housing which accommodates helical guide blades and a core located within the guide blades, and a measuring chamber in which a measuring ball can rotate in a circle. Between the end of the core bounding on the measuring chamber and the end face of the outlet section oriented to the measuring chamber there are no wall portions present, and the distance between the outside edge of the core end bounding on the measuring chamber and the inside edge of outlet-section-end-face oriented to the measuring chamber is smaller than the diameter of the measuring ball. Consequently, the fluid may unimpedely flow out of the measuring chamber as a result of which there is low flow resistance of the flow meter. Moreover, this causes no obstacles to be present between two oppositely arranged spots on the housing that may disturb a light ray for the measurement.

摘要: A metal body has a threaded inlet port and a threaded outlet port which extend to corresponding inlet and outlet chambers within the body, and a semi-spherical liner seats within the body and has ports communicating with the inlet and outlet chambers. A dome-shaped lens is sealed to the body and cooperates with the liner to define a fluid circulating chamber enclosing a fluid sensing ball having crossing holes therein. A mounting plate has a first opening receiving the body and a second opening receiving a power operated optical sensor having fiber optic cables positioned to sense through the lens movement of the ball within the fluid circulating chamber. The ball is sensitive to a very low flow rate and provides a visual indicator of the flow, and the optical sensor provides an electrical signal for operating an alarm or apparatus such as a machine which requires the fluid flow.

摘要: A flow meter for measuring the flow parameters of liquid, gaseous and multicomponent media is comprised of a housing encompassing a flow chamber through which the medium flows while passing in a swirling movement three distinct, concentric flow zones, there being an inlet zone, an outlet zone and an intermediate sensing zone in which the flow parameters of the medium can be sensed and measured.
