Abstract:
A kind of device to transfer photo images into digital data includes a body wherein photo taking mechanisms are set inside and insert-fit grooves and positioning mechanisms are set with internal lighting assembling plates at the other side. The integrated photo clamps for clamping photos are put in the interior of the body through insert-fit grooves. By usage of simple operations, the images on the taken photos by photo taking mechanisms can be transferred into digital data for convenient storage, modification, or copying then printing the new photos. Thus, the present invention is rich of convenience and advancement.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes an image pickup element that emits an electrical signal based on received light, a document table including a reading window, a document cover, a base plate including a flat portion that opposes the reading window, the base plate being displaceable in a direction of separating from the document cover and a direction of approaching the document cover, a spring portion that is integrally formed with the base plate, and a document presser that presses the document placed on the document table toward the reading window and includes an elastic member that is elastically deformable and is adhered to a reading window side of the base plate. The document cover includes a first pressing portion that conveys force due to a weight of the document cover acting to press the spring portion toward the reading window when the document cover covers the reading window.
Abstract:
An image reading apparatus includes an image reader unit that has a plurality of light receiving elements for reading an image on an original, and moves relative to a frame for applying a pressing force to a read-target surface of the original; and a driven roller that is rotatable, comes into contact with the original, and moves relative to the frame and independent of the image reader unit in a direction in which the image reader unit applies the pressing force to the original, thereby applying a pressing force to the original independent of the image reader unit.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for scanning documents such as ID cards and bank checks that includes hinged cover and base assemblies. The base includes motor driven drive rollers for conveying a document along a paper path defined between the cover and base. The cover includes a plurality of pinch rollers forming part of a floating deck that is carried by cover structure and which is spring biased towards the base assembly. Two side-by-side scanning regions are provided, one of which is configured to scan flexible documents, the other of which is configured to scan rigid media such ID cards. Sensors detect the position of the document. A solenoid driven, replaceable ink stamp imprints a document to indicate that it has been scanned. A weight biased diverter is deflected by rigid documents to enable exit through a slot. An entrance guide includes an offset guide wall to improve feeding.
Abstract:
A device and method for scanning an object on a working surface, the device comprising: a body located adjacent to the working surface; two or more cameras mounted on the body at a location elevated adjacently above the working surface for capturing images of the object on the working surface, the two or more cameras being angled such that their range of image captures overlap and the common overlapping region of the range of image captures of the two or more cameras corresponds with the size of the working surface, the two or more cameras being spaced apart such that each of the two or more cameras captures a different angle of the common overlapping region; and a processing unit capable of correcting skewed images of the working surface captured by the two or more cameras and capable of converting the images captured by the two or more cameras into a three dimensional image.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes: a light source opposite to one surface of a medium; a backing member opposite to another surface of the medium and including a backing surface opposite to the another surface of the medium; an imaging unit opposite to the one surface of the medium and at a position different from the light source in a conveyance direction, and to pick up an image of the medium and the backing surface on which a shadow of the medium is formed due to light from the light source; and a processor to generate image data including the image of the medium and the backing surface based on a result by the imaging unit, wherein the backing surface is inclined with respect to the conveyance direction, and a gap between the path and the backing surface decreases from a light source side toward an imaging unit side.
Abstract:
An image acquisition apparatus, including a housing, the housing includes an internal space and a substantially transparent surface for supporting a tangible document during an image acquisition operation, a document sensing device for detecting if at least a portion of the transparent surface is covered by the tangible document, the document sensing device including a transparent support structure for supporting at least one edge of the tangible document, a layer of coating configured to reflect light, wherein the layer of coating covering at least a portion of the external surfaces of the transparent support structure, a first light source and a light intensity sensor disposed inside the internal space.
Abstract:
An image sensor support device comprising a foot assembly releasably coupled with respect to a base and an image sensor mount rotatably coupled with respect to the foot assembly. The image sensor mount is rotatably secured to an elongated stem assembly and the stem assembly is rotatably secured to the foot assembly.
Abstract:
In a device for detecting the contents of a book or of sheets bound in the manner of a book, with a cradle with two support surfaces arranged next to each other at an obtuse angle, a book can be inserted in the opened state, the book lying facing upwards with the opened pages. The relative positions of the support surfaces in relation to one another can be set, namely, at least in a direction that is parallel to the plane of the support surface and at right angles to the bifurcation. In addition, the device has a camera system with at least two camera units, which are each positioned above the cradle for recording one of the opened pages of a book being held in the cradle, and a page-turning device for turning the pages of a book being held in the cradle, wherein the cradle or the support surface can be moved in relation to the camera system in an essentially vertical position.
