摘要: A sheet conveyance device includes a transmitter circuit, a receiver circuit, an integrator circuit which performs charging of electric charge outputted from the transmitter circuit and outputs a judgment voltage, a drive circuit, and a control circuit. The drive circuit feeds a drive signal to the transmitter circuit. At a lapse of a wait time after changing a level of a transmission instruction signal to a level instructing to feed the drive signal to the transmitter circuit, the control circuit makes the integrator circuit start to perform charging. When adjusting the wait time, the control circuit performs processing for adjustment a plurality of times. The control circuit makes the wait time different in each execution of the processing for adjustment. The control circuit determines a new wait time based on a magnitude of the judgment voltage recognized in each execution of the processing for adjustment.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a first detection unit, a second detection unit, a first conveyance unit, a second conveyance unit, which is provided on downstream in the conveyance direction with respect to the first detection unit and is configured to convey sheets, and a control unit. When the first detection unit does not detect a trailing edge of a first sheet before a first timing, the control unit stops the drive of the first conveyance unit and continues drive of the second conveyance unit, and when the second detection unit detects the trailing edge of the first sheet before a second timing later than the first timing, the control unit re-drives the first conveyance unit or stops the drive of the second conveyance unit in accordance with a sheet length of the first sheet in the conveyance direction.

摘要: A system for detecting envelopes from multi-fed documents in a scanning system with a scanning track along which documents move laterally toward a scanning station having a plurality of spaced apart penetrating detectors across the scanning track. The scanners detect a leading edge as a single layer material, i.e. without an air gap and the interior as having an air gap in the document scanned. If a document has an interior air gap, but the leading edge does not, it is first assumed to be an envelope.

摘要: A conveyance apparatus is capable of detecting the presence or absence of multi feeding with high accuracy even when a received waveform varies due to a “noise from the circuit” and an “influence due to vibrations,” which are fixedly generated noise components. The conveyance apparatus includes an original conveying motor configured to convey an original; an ultrasonic transmitter, which is arranged at one of positions sandwiching a conveyance path along which the original is conveyed, and transmits an ultrasonic wave toward the conveyance path; and an ultrasonic receiver, which is arranged at the other one of the positions sandwiching the conveyance path, and receives the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the ultrasonic transmitter. The conveyance apparatus compares a received wave amplitude exhibited with sheet-presence against a threshold value determined based on a received wave amplitude exhibited with sheet-absence to determine whether the original is conveyed with multi feeding.
