    Abstract: A turbocharger wastegate actuator arm includes a first section made from a rigid composite material, a second section made from a rigid composite material, and a third section made from a flexible polymeric material positioned between and interconnecting the first and second sections and adapted to allow angular deflection of the first section relative to the second section, wherein a longitudinal axis of the first section and a longitudinal axis of the second section define a first angle when the actuator arm is in the first position and the longitudinal axis of the first section and the longitudinal axis of the second section define a second angle when the actuator arm is in the second position, the first angle being greater than the second angle.

    Abstract: A steam valve having a first inclined surface, which is formed at the distal end portion of a valve rod and in which the outer diameter of the valve rod increases from the distal end toward the base end of the valve rod, and a second inclined surface, which is formed on the inside of a portion of a main valve that is positioned on the base-end side of the valve rod and which inclines with the same inclination angle as the first inclined surface. In a state in which a slave valve and the main valve are closed the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface are separated from each other, and when the slave valve and the main valve are in a fully open state the first inclined surface and the second inclined surface abut each other.

At least part of the lever arm is configured elastically such that applying a closing force to the flap arrangement, when the flap disk is in contact with a flap seat in the turbine housing, provides for relative movement of the flap disk in relation to the spindle, in order to compensate for thermal deformation of the turbine housing and/or wear.

    Abstract: An exhaust manifold for an internal combustion engine is provided. The manifold comprises at least one first exhaust gas inlet connectable to a first bank of cylinders of the engine, and at least one second exhaust gas inlet connectable to a second bank of cylinders of the engine. First and second exhaust gas outlets are connectable to respective first and second volutes of a twin volute turbocharger. At least one wastegate outlet is connectable to a bypass passage which bypasses the turbocharger. A diverter valve is located within the manifold, wherein the diverter valve is adapted to selectively direct exhaust gas from the first and second inlets to at least one of the first and second exhaust gas outlets and the wastegate outlet. A turbocharger is also provided having the same diverter valve arrangement, as are internal combustion engines having either the manifold or turbocharger, and a vehicle having such an internal combustion engine.

    Abstract: A system for feeding operating gas to a drive (1) of a motor vehicle, including an atmosphere-side suction inlet (2a) for air under atmospheric pressure, and a feed line (2) for the operating gas to the drive (1) under an operating pressure, the operating gas which is conducted to the drive comprising at least part of the air which is sucked in, at least part of the operating gas being conducted through a turbomachine (3) upstream of the drive (1) in a first operating type, the turbomachine (3) comprising an electric generator (4), and the turbomachine (3) being operated in a second operating type as a compressor for the operating gas, an actuable valve arrangement (5) being provided, at least part of the air which is sucked in being conducted in a turbine direction (T) through the turbomachine (3) in a first position of the valve arrangement (5), and at least part of the air which is sucked in being conducted in a reversed compressor direction (V) through the turbomachine (3) in a second position of the valve arrangement (5).
