摘要： The cellular mobile telephone and system is provided wherein the cellular telephone automatically dials one or more prescribed emergency telephone numbers in the event of an emergency. Automatic dialing of an emergency telephone number is initiated by the user pressing a dedicated push button on the cellular telephone handset, or alternatively, upon the occurrence of an accident which is detected by the cellular telephone. After the cellular telephone dials the predetermined emergency number, the cellular telephone plays a recorded message which indicates that an emergency has occurred and that the telephone user is in distress. Alteratively, the cellular telephone user is allowed to participate in the emergency call upon receiving notification that the cellular telephone has successfully completed the automatic dialing and a connection has been established.

摘要： A telephone dialling code processor intercepts outgoing dialling codes such as tones or pulses from a telephone terminal or the like and if the sequence matches a stored sequence it transmits a modified sequence of tones or pulses so that for example a telephone exchange is caused to make the connection along an alternative path or to provide enhanced services. Block 105 monitors the line condition along with block 109 which senses line current in the telephone line 112 and thus the state of the telephone terminal. A muting circuit 101 is used to interrupt or nullify the original dialling tones, a dial tone decoder/receiver 110, storage of predetermined dialling sequences is at 103, a dialling tone encoder/generator 106 reconstructs a replacement dialling sequence and all are controlled by a microprocessor 107 with program memory. Internal power can be derived from the telephone line by 102. The processor optionally may also provide for toll barring, modem-like communications, telephone line testing, call detail recording, raising of alarms, and the like.

摘要： An emergency telecommunications device comprising a telecommunications control circuit having an automatic dialing circuit preprogrammed to dial 911; a digital-to-analog voice circuit to transmit one of three predetermined messages to an emergency operator when the control circuit is activated by one of three activation buttons: a medical emergency activation control button, a fire activation control button, and a police activation control button; and a touch tone decoding circuit that allows an emergency operator to play first and second user programmable messages and to control various functions of the telecommunications device. The fire, medical emergency and police control activation buttons are normally covered by a pivoting lid member. Closure of the lid member actuates a device activation control switch. When the lid member is in a fully closed position the telecommunications device is in the OFF state. When the lid member is in a partially or fully open position the telecommunications device is the ON state.

摘要： A telephone capable of controlling an expensive long distance call or international call from an audible tone generator through the telephone's handset. When the handset is lifted, an off-hook signal is output from a hook switch and a CPU outputs an internal hook signal to close a line switch. When a dialed number is input from the telephone's key board, the CPU checks the first digit of the dialed number. When the first digit is "0", the internal hook signal is output to release the line switch, otherwise a line loop is kept as it is to make a dialing possible. In turn, when a DTMF signal corresponding to the dialed number is input from a DTMF generator via the handset, a DTMF receiver interprets first digit of the dialed number and sends it to the CPU. When the first digit is "0", the CPU outputs an on-hook signal to release the line switch, otherwise the line loop is maintained to make the dialing possible.

A cover can be attached to the transceiver allowing access only to the emergency call actuator thereby restricting calls to only the emergency number. Cover, modular keypad, modular actuator, or transceiver can have a lock to prevent removal of modular components.

Control circuitry is provided for detecting a first predetermined event, such as a predetermined time of day, and disconnecting the telephone line pair from the central office telephone equipment responsive to the detected first predetermined event. Control circuitry also detects a second predetermined event, such as a predetermined second time of day, and connects the telephone line pair to the central office telephone equipment responsive to the detected second predetermined event.

摘要： In an extension (or second) telephone set, a logic circuit powered by standard line current is connected between the standard telephone key encoder that receives and encodes the user entered key dialing digits and a dialing signal converter that produces dialing pulses on the phone line in response to the encoder. The converter accepts binary encoded digits from the encoder along with a strobe signal associated with each entered binary encoded dialing digit. Logic gates assisted by other digital circuitry determine whether the initial digit of the series is authorized and, of so, allow the associated strobe signal to be transmitted from the encoder to the outpulsing converter and thereafter allow a predetermined maximum number of digits of the series to be communicated to the converter to complete the local outbound call dialing.

摘要： A rotary dial device for a telephone set, in which an additional function of preventing a toll dialling is provided. In accordance with this invention, a contact is further attached to an usual dial to classify dial impulses so that when a number "1," one of numbers "2" to "9," and a number "0" are dialled, one, two and three pulses are produced respectively.
