    Abstract: An upright surface cleaning apparatus comprises a surface cleaning head, a cleaning unit moveably mounted to the surface cleaning head between a generally upright position and a rearwardly inclined in use position, a push handle and an above floor cleaning assembly. The cleaning unit comprises an air treatment member and the push handle is rotatably mounted with respect to the cleaning unit. The above floor cleaning assembly comprises a flexible conduit having an inlet end and an outlet end, wherein in a floor cleaning mode a first portion of the flexible conduit having the outlet end is located on the second lateral side of the air treatment member and a second transverse portion of the flexible conduit extends from the second lateral side of the air treatment member over the upper end of the air treatment member to the first lateral side of the air treatment member wherein the second transverse portion is vertically spaced from the rotational joint.

    Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus comprises an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet; a suction motor provided in the air flow path; and a cyclone bin assembly comprising first and second stage cyclones. The first stage cyclone is provided in the air flow path and comprises a first stage cyclone chamber having a first stage second end wall that is spaced from a first stage first end wall. The second stage cyclone is provided in the air flow path downstream of the first stage cyclone and comprises a second stage cyclone chamber having a second stage second end wall that is spaced from a second stage first end wall.     Abstract: A hand vacuum cleaner is provided with a first cyclonic cleaning stage, a pre-motor filter and a fluid flow motor. The first cyclonic stage has a bottom end, an upper end spaced longitudinally from the bottom end along a first stage axis, an air inlet and an air outlet, the first cyclonic cleaning stage comprising a first cyclone chamber and a first dirt collection region, the first dirt collection region having an end wall at the bottom end that is openable to empty the first dirt collection region. The pre-motor filter is positioned downstream from the first cyclonic cleaning stage and spaced from the openable end wall of the first dirt collection region in a direction of the first stage axis. The fluid flow motor is downstream from the pre-motor filter.
