Abstract: A gas-liquid separator that can suitably separate gas and liquid by increasing a flow velocity of a gas-liquid mixture that flows into a body portion includes a body portion having a cylindrical shape, an introduction passage provided in a state of communicating with the body portion, a gas-liquid mixture being introduced through the introduction passage, and a straightening plate attached to the body portion, the straightening plate straightening the gas-liquid mixture, wherein the straightening plate has a narrow width portion configured such that a distance between the straightening plate and an inner wall of the body portion gradually decreases toward an end portion from which the gas-liquid mixture flows out.

Abstract: A process for producing caustic calcined magnesia (CCM) includes calcining a magnesium containing material, such as magnesite, in a primary calciner to produce a primary calcined material and a primary exhaust comprising dust; subjecting the primary exhaust to separation to recover a dust material includes incompletely calcined dust particles; calcining the dust material in the secondary calciner to produce calcined dust, wherein the dust material is not co-calcined with the magnesium containing material or the primary calcined material. The primary calcined material and the calcined dues thus form two CCM products, which can be kept separate or combined. The primary calciner can be a multiple hearth furnace (MHF) while the secondary calciner can be a gas suspension calciner (GSC). Using a secondary calciner in such a manner can increase throughput of the primary calciner and provide other advantages for the calcination process.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a waste battery thermal desorption treatment system. The waste battery thermal desorption treatment system includes: a rotary kiln, having a feed port, thermal desorption cavity, heating cavity, discharge port, and first exhaust port; a dust removal apparatus, including a housing with a gas inlet port and a second exhaust port, and a dust removal structure disposed in the housing configured to collect impurities in a gas exhausted from the first exhaust port; a condenser, in communication with the second exhaust port, to condense an electrolyte constituent; and an adsorption column having a defluorination agent for dry defluorination on remaining constituents in the gaseous exhaust. This disclosure resolves the problem of low recycling efficiency of waste lithium batteries in the prior art.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a carbon capture adapter that may attach to high air flow locations. A carbon capture adapter may utilize the air flow of a high air flow location to allow for capture of unfiltered air, allowing for carbon removal and the scrubbing of the unfiltered air. The carbon capture adapter may comprise carbon sensors that may detect carbon levels of the air before and after the carbon has been scrubbed or removed from the ambient air. The carbon capture adapter may capture and transform the carbon into secondary substances that may be useful unto itself. The carbon capture adapter will have all inputs, outputs, processes, and flows that meet all aspects of a closed loop system that is specifically designed for CCS. The carbon capture adapter may be at least temporarily secured to at least one portion of a vehicle.
