Abstract: The present invention provides a preparation method of amorphous GeH, and belongs to the field of preparation technologies of amorphous GeH. The preparation method provided in the present invention includes the following step: sealing crystalline GeH, a pressure calibration object, and a pressure transmitting medium in a cavity of a diamond anvil cell, and adjusting pressure in the cavity to obtain amorphous GeH. In the present invention, pressure is applied to the GeH in the sealed diamond anvil cell, to implement amorphization of the GeH at room temperature. In this way, impurities can hardly be found in the preparation method, and pure amorphous GeH can be obtained. In addition, the method provided in the present invention has simple operations and good repeatability.

Abstract: Systems and methods include a computer-implemented method for manufacturing a binder for spraying onto tools. A binder is manufactured for binding compacts onto a tool substrate. The binder is designed to provide a coating strength on the tool substrate. The binder includes: a metal selected from iron (Fe), cobalt (Co), and nickel (Ni); an alloy including the metal selected from Fe, Co, and Ni; or a refractory alloy selected from tungsten, tantalum (Ta), molybdenum (Mo), and niobium (Nb). An ultra-high-pressure, high-temperature operation is performed on pure wurtzite boron nitride (w-BN) powder to synthesize w-BN and cubic boron nitride (c-BN) compact. A binder-compact mixture is produced by turbulently mixing the binder with the compact in a mixer within a vacuum. The binder-compact mixture is thermally sprayed onto a tool substrate to coat the tool.

Abstract: A hydraulic tool for use with a clamp connector where a first clamping element and a second clamping element of the clamp connector are pivotable towards each other into a closed position by exerting a pulling force on an operating shaft and a pushing force on a spacer sleeve, and where said first and second clamping elements are lockable in said closed position by tightening a locking nut against a shoulder on the spacer sleeve. The tool includes a pulling element; a hydraulic power unit for moving the pulling element in relation to the spacer sleeve and thereby allow the hydraulic tool to exert a pulling force on the operating shaft and a pushing force on the spacer sleeve; a rotatable actuating member with a socket engageable with the locking nut; and a drive motor for rotating the actuating member to allow the actuating member to rotate the locking nut.

Abstract: A structural improvement for microwave-assisted high temperature high-pressure chemistry vessel systems is disclosed that among other advantages offers dynamic venting and resealing while a reaction proceeds and eliminates the risk of cross contamination associated with systems that use a common pressurized chamber. The improvement includes a relatively thin-walled disposable liner cylinder that includes one closed end and one open end defining a mouth, and a liner cap positioned in the mouth of the rigid liner cylinder for closing the rigid liner cylinder. The liner cap includes a depending column that engages the inside diameter of the rigid liner cylinder, and a disk at one end of the depending column having a diameter sufficient to rest upon the rigid liner cylinder without falling into the rigid cylinder liner so that the cylindrical liner cap can rest in the rigid liner cylinder at the mouth of the rigid liner cylinder. The depending column, includes a passage to provide a gas venting space, and a dynamic venting action, between the liner cap and the rigid liner cylinder.

Abstract: A self-sealing container, used for transferring one or more air sensitive samples between vacuum systems, includes a housing with a cavity that holds the sample(s), and a lid disposed on top of the housing. The lid is configured to interface with the housing to form a seal over the cavity when the lid is closed. At least two flexure systems, each coupled to the housing and the lid, are disposed on opposing sides of the housing. The flexure systems apply forces to the lid that move the lid horizontally and vertically above the housing, into an open position. A pneumatic actuator, movably coupled to the housing and the lid, that is actuated by a change in ambient pressure. When actuated, it applies forces that move the lid horizontally and vertically to the closed position, in opposition to and in excess of the forces applied by the flexure systems.

Abstract: Both a system and method for cleaning a tow pressure separation vessel of a high pressure polyethylene polymerization plant are provided. The system includes a polytetrafluoroethylene lining that covers the interior surfaces of the vessel, and a cover mounting assembly including an annular clamp for detachably mounting a cover over the vessel. The mounting assembly includes a clamp actuator for quickly securing and releasing the cover with respect to a top rim of the vessel. The vessel is drained of liquid polyethylene and allowed to cool to ambient temperature, thus creating a frozen “skin” of polyethylene around the interior surfaces of the vessel. The clamp actuator releases the cover. The polyethylene skin is peeled off the interior sides the vessel and gathered up at the top to form a neck, thus peeling the polyethylene skin away from the polytetrafluoroethylene lining along with any degraded polymers or other impurities that have accumulated on the interior surfaces of the vessel.
