Abstract: [Problem] To improve the energy absorption amount in a region for covering a pillar without increasing the gas generation amount of an inflator and without causing a shortage in the energy absorption amount in a region for covering the vicinity of the end on the hood side of a front glass.[Resolution means] A pedestrian protecting airbag apparatus includes: an airbag for covering the vicinity of the end on the hood side of a front glass along with at least a part on the lower side of a pillar; and an inflator for supplying gas to the airbag during a collision. The airbag includes: a center chamber for covering the vicinity of the end on the hood side of the front glass; a pillar cover chamber for covering at least the part on the lower side of the pillar; and a support chamber for expanding between this pillar cover chamber and the pillar.

Abstract: A far side airbag apparatus for a vehicle for installation at a side of a frame of a backrest of a seat directed toward an inner center portion of the vehicle such that the far side airbag is expanded and deployed between at least two backrests arranged widthwise along the vehicle. The far side airbag includes an inner part directed toward an occupant seated in a direction opposite to a collision side of the vehicle upon vehicle collision and an outer part directed toward the inner center portion of the vehicle upon vehicle collision. When a vehicle collision occurs, for example, when a side inclination collision of the vehicle occurs, the occupant seated in opposition to the collision side of the vehicle may be prevented from abruptly moving toward the front portion and the inner center portion of the vehicle out of the protection range of the far side airbag. Thus, collision between occupants seated on a driver seat and an occupant seat can be effectively prevented.

Abstract: A far-side airbag device of a vehicle includes an airbag which is unfolded upon inflation between at least two backrests arranged in the width direction of the vehicle and includes an inner panel facing a passenger and an outer panel facing the central axis of the vehicle at the time of inflation. The far-side airbag device includes a rotation preventing bracket for pressing the rear end of the airbag to prevent the airbag from rotating about the rear end of the airbag by an impact from the passenger at the time of collision of the vehicle, so that it is possible to increase a restraining force for preventing the passenger from moving toward the inside of the vehicle by preventing the airbag from rotating about a fastening portion on the rear end by the impact applied from the passenger due to the collision of the vehicle.

In the loading position, the tongue body (3) engages with a region having the contact surface (19), through at least the portion of the deflection element (6).
