Abstract: A precleaner arrangement for separating a portion of entrained material from air flow air entering an engine air cleaner. The precleaner arrangement includes a precleaner housing and at least a first flexible air deflection vane with a fixed portion secured to the precleaner housing and a deflectable portion. The deflectable portion includes a curved section extending from the fixed portion and a tail section extending from the curved section. The deflectable portion is configured to deflect in response to a sufficient air flow rate change through the precleaner arrangement, in use. Some arrangements will also include a second stage, outlet vane assembly.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a filtration composite that includes multiple layers of filtration media. In some embodiment, the filtration composite is preferably substantially glass-free or glass-free. When the composite is glass-free or substantially glass-free, the composite preferably exhibits capacity and efficiency comparable to or better than similar glass-containing filtration media. The composite includes a first nonwoven filtration medium including bicomponent fibers, efficiency fibers having a fiber diameter in a range of 1 micron to 5 microns, and microfibrillated fiber; an optional second nonwoven filtration medium; and a third nonwoven filtration medium including efficiency fibers having a fiber diameter of at least 0.1 micron and less than 1 micron.

A first supporting surface (160) is opposite the diffusion plate relative to the extractor housing and a second supporting surface (170) at least 80° to the diffusion plate, where the first supporting surface and the second supporting surface are configured to selectively rest on a planar surface. The fume extractor defines a hose channel (140) configured to selectively receive the hose.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the technology disclosed herein relate to a system having a hydrodynamic separator element defining an element inlet and an element outlet. The element outlet has a first element outlet and a second element outlet. The hydrodynamic separator element has a plurality of curved microfluidic channels in fluid communication. Each of the plurality of microfluidic channels are arranged to operate in parallel. Each microfluidic channel defines a channel inlet downstream of the element inlet and a channel outlet having a first channel outlet upstream of the first element outlet and a second channel outlet upstream of the second element outlet. A flow characteristic sensor is in sensing communication with the separator element. A controller is in data communication with the flow characteristic sensor, where the controller is configured to provide a first alert upon the flow characteristic being outside a first threshold.

Abstract: An exhaust treatment device includes a dosing and mixing assembly having a wire mesh puck. A retaining arrangement holds the mesh puck and maintains the mesh puck in an axially compressed state. The compressive force may be sufficient to inhibit rotation of the wire mesh. A peripheral side of the wire mesh is allowed to float while edges of the axial ends are trapped between at least two stop members of the retaining arrangement.
