Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a multi-component application, including a first and second component. A client device may be provisioned with the application in a manner that, from the point of view of an end user, is similar to access a single component application. A user may use a client device to attempt to access a second component to provide the application. The second component can instruct the client device to first obtain a first component from a different network location. The client device can obtain the first component and execute the first component to use the second component, thereby providing the multi-component application. Other than submission of an initial request to access the application, provisioning of the multi-component application may be programmatic and potentially invisible to an end user, thereby providing an experience similar to accessing a single component application.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for generating a distributed execution model with untrusted commands. The system can receive a query, and process the query to identify the untrusted commands. The system can use data associated with the untrusted command to identify one or more files associated with the untrusted command. Based on the files, the system can generate a data structure and include one or more identifiers associated with the data structure in the distributed execution model. The system can distribute the distributed execution model to one or more nodes in a distributed computing environment for execution.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system for presenting data for virtual machines. During operation, the system obtains hypervisor data for a set of virtual machines, wherein the hypervisor data was received from one or more hypervisors while the set of virtual machines was running on the hypervisors. The system also obtains operating system data for the set of virtual machines, wherein the operating system data was received from a set of operating systems while the set of operating systems was running on the set of virtual machines. Next, the system correlates hypervisor data for a virtual machine with corresponding operating system data for the virtual machine. Finally, the system presents the correlated hypervisor data and operating system data for the virtual machine to a user.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for performing cache aware searching. In response to a search query, a first bucket and a second bucket in remote storage for processing the search query. A determination is made that a first file in the first bucket is present in a cache when the search query is received. In response to the search query, a search is performed using the first file based on the determination that the first file is present in the cache when the search query is received, and the search is performed using a second file from the second bucket once the second file is stored in the cache.

Abstract: In various implementations, a computer-implemented method for remotely managing settings of applications includes receiving a network communication from a managed device, the received network communication including a client-side hash value. The method further includes identifying settings for an application on the managed device in response to the receiving of the network communication, where the identified settings include configuration instructions for the application. Based on a comparison between the received client-side hash value and a server-side hash value that corresponds to the identified settings, at least some of the identified settings are transmitted to the managed device. The transmitting of the at least some of the identified settings can be based on the comparison indicating a mismatch between the received client-side hash value and the server-side hash value. The method may also include completing processing of the received network communication after the transmitting of the at least some of the identified settings.

Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards generating a representative sampling as a subset from a larger dataset that includes unstructured data. A graphical user interface enables a user to provide various data selection parameters, including specifying a data source and one or more subset types desired, including one or more of latest records, earliest records, diverse records, outlier records, and/or random records. Diverse and/or outlier subset types may be obtained by generating clusters from an initial selection of records obtained from the larger dataset. An iteration analysis is performed to determine whether a sufficient number of clusters and/or cluster types have been generated that exceed at least one threshold and when not exceeded, additional clustering is performed on additional records. From the resultant clusters, and/or other subtype results, a subset of records is obtained as the representative sampling subset.
