Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure include apparatuses and methods for implementing mechanisms for exchanging a searcher number between an electronic device (for example, a UE) and a network for cell detection and measurement. For example, some embodiments relate to an electronic device including a transceiver and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The processor determines a searcher number associated with the electronic device. The searcher number is greater than two. The processor further transmits, using the transceiver, a signal to the network, where the signal includes an indication of the searcher number.

Abstract: A base station (BS) configures a user equipment (UE) with parameters for channel access operations on a shared channel. The BS transmits to the UE a first configuration for a BS-initiated fixed frame period (FFP) (BS-FFP) and a second configuration for a UE-initiated FFP (UE-FFP), wherein the BS-FFP overlaps the UE-FFP, schedules an uplink (UL) transmission during the UE-FFP and when there is no downlink (DL) transmission in the BS-FFP, receiving the UL transmission from the UE during the BS-FFP.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may attempt to access a base station of a network. The UE receives, from the base station of a wireless network, a broadcast including a system information block (SIB) identifying a plurality of random access channel (RACH) sub-bands of an uplink (UL) bandwidth and which of the plurality of RACH sub-bands includes physical random access channel (PRACH) resources. The base station selects one of the plurality of RACH sub-bands for a PRACH transmission and selects a preamble from the selected RACH sub-band and transmit the preamble to the base station to initiate a RACH procedure.

Abstract: A base station maps physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) candidates and PDCCH transmissions for multi-transmission reception point (TRP) operation. The base station determines that a control resource set (CORESET) is to be shared by at least a first TRP and a second TRP corresponding to a cell of a network, performs resource element group (REG) bundle to virtual REG bundle mapping on a per TRP basis, wherein multiple REG bundles are indexed on the per TRP basis, performs virtual REG bundle interleaving across the first TRP and the second TRP, performs control channel element (CCE) to interleaved REG bundle mapping and transmits downlink control information (DCI) using the CORESET, wherein the CORESET is configured based on, at least, the CCE to interleaved REG bundle mapping.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may report physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) group capabilities to a network. The UE may also receive a request from a network for radio access capability information and report whether a PUCCH group having a plurality of CC across multiple frequency bands is supported, wherein the report is configured per band combination (BC). The UE may also receive a request from a network for radio access capability information and report support for a PUCCH location configuration for a PUCCH group having a plurality of CC across multiple frequency bands, the PUCCH location configuration indicating which bands in a band combination (BC) may be used for the PUCCH.
