Abstract: A manufacturing method of a molded article, including a first step of arranging a primary molded article made of a soft material in a molding die such that an outer peripheral surface of an exposed section of the primary molded article which is exposed to an outside without being embedded in a secondary molded article corresponds to an inner peripheral surface of the molding die, a second step of pressing and deforming an outer peripheral portion of the primary molded article arranged in the molding die by a pressing section so as to bring the outer peripheral surface of the exposed section into close contact with the inner peripheral surface of the molding die, and a third step of molding the secondary molded article by withdrawing the pressing section from inside the molding die while injecting resin to be the secondary molded article into the molding die.

Abstract: A device case includes speaker boxes that are formed inside spaces created by placing upper cases that have a larger external shape than a lower case on upper of that lower case, as well as box connectors that are arranged fitting into the speaker boxes in the upper cases so as to contact the ends of peripheral portions of the lower case and fix together the lower case and the upper cases. This makes it possible for the box connectors to seal the spaces between the peripheral portions of the lower case and the peripheral portions of the upper cases. This, in turn, makes it possible to reliably and satisfactorily seal the speaker boxes in an airtight manner even when the external shapes of the lower case and the upper cases that are stacked together are different.

Abstract: A method of creating a three-dimensionally shaped object, the method having: a creation step for creating image data for printing an image on a thermally expandable sheet; a printing step for printing an image on the thermally expandable sheet on the basis of the image data created in the creation step; and a protuberation step for partially protuberating the thermally expandable sheet via thermal expansion by irradiating light toward the image printed on the thermally expandable sheet in the printing step. The creation step creates image data such that a grayscale of an image is set so that a fastening portion that fastens a thermally expandable sheet is either intermittently or continuously surrounded by a region where a protuberation height resulting from the thermal expansion is high.

Abstract: An irradiation device for causing distension of a thermally distensible sheet that distends due to heat, comprising: a temperature sensor; a humidity sensor; an irradiation unit that irradiates the thermally distensible sheet with electromagnetic waves; and a controller configured to: estimate an amount of moisture contained in the thermally distensible sheet on the basis of values of measurements from the temperature sensor and the humidity sensor, set a relative speed between the irradiation unit and the thermally distensible sheet in accordance with the estimated amount of moisture in the thermally distensible sheet, and cause the irradiation unit or the thermally distensible sheet to move relative to each other at the relative speed that has been set while irradiating the thermally distensible sheet with the electromagnetic waves.
