    Abstract: A printing apparatus capable of performing printing on a plurality of kinds of sheets, comprising a print unit configured to perform printing on a sheet, a feed unit configured to feed a sheet toward the print unit, and a control unit configured to, in a case of successively performing printing on a plurality of sheets by the print unit, control the feed unit to perform overlapped feeding in which a succeeding sheet is fed such that a trailing end portion of a preceding sheet and a leading end portion of the succeeding sheet overlap, wherein, in a case of executing the overlapped feeding, the control unit makes a predetermined notification based on a comparison result of a length of the succeeding sheet with a threshold value corresponding to a sheet kind of the succeeding sheet.

    Abstract: A recording device includes a transport unit, a medium supporting member, and a recording head. The transport unit includes transport roller pairs and discharge roller pairs. The discharge roller pair includes a discharge driving roller and discharge driven rollers provided downstream of the medium supporting member in a transport direction. The transport unit includes a first roller and a second roller, which are an example of a guide roller provided downstream of the medium supporting member in the transport direction and on the same upper side as the discharge driven roller with respect to a transport path of a medium. The first roller and the second roller are provided on either side of the discharge roller pair in the transport direction, and a lower end of at least one of the first roller and the second roller is positioned lower than an upper end of the discharge driving roller.

    Abstract: A recording device includes a recording head that performs recording on a medium, a transport belt that sucks and transports the medium at a position facing the recording head, a charging unit that forms a charging sucking area on the transport belt, in which the medium is sucked by charging, by applying a voltage to the transport belt, and a control section that controls the charging unit. A belt downstream roller pair that transports the medium is provided downstream of the transport belt in a medium transport direction. After a downstream end of the medium is nipped by the belt downstream roller pair, the control section controls the charging unit so that an upstream area downstream of an upstream end of the medium, which is an area including the upstream end of the medium, does not come into contact with the charging sucking area of the transport belt.
