The present invention provides a resin composition that includes (A) a polymer compound that has, on a side chain of a main chain polymer, through a lir ‘cage group containing a hydrogen-bonding group and a ring structure, a terminal ethylenic unsaturated bond, and is soluble or swelling in water or an alkali aqueous solution, and (B) a compound that generates radicals when exposed to light or heat. The invention further provides a thermo/photosensitive composition that includes (A′) a polymer compound that has a non-acidic hydrogen-bonding group on a side chain and is soluble or swelling in water or an alkali aqueous solution, and (B′) a compound that generates radicals when exposed to light or heat.

The present invention provides a photosensitive lithographic printing plate which is excellent in both workability and image forming properties and is also capable of omitting the use of a laminated-paper. The present invention also provides an interleaving sensitive granular matting agent for photosensitive lithographic printing plate, which is used by applying onto the surface of an infrared-sensitive lithographic printing plate, comprising an infrared absorbing dye. Surface treatment is conducted by applying a granular matting agent containing an infrared absorbing dye onto the surface of an infrared-sensitive lithographic printing plate.

The present invention provides a polymerizable composition comprising (A) a compound including a polymerizable unsaturated group and (B) a macromolecular compound including, at a side chain thereof, a structure represented by the following general formula (I): Z−M+ General formula (I) wherein Z− represents COCOO−, COO−, SO3−, or SO2—N−—R where R represents a monovalent organic group and M+ represents an onium cation. The present invention also provides a negative type planographic printing plate precursor responsive to an infrared laser, the precursor being superior in recording sensitivity and printing durability and using the polymerizable compound as a recording layer.

A planographic printing method including: providing a planographic printing plate precursor including a substrate and an image recording layer which is disposed on the substrate and contains (A) an infrared absorber, (B) a polymerization initiator and (C) a polymerizable compound; imagewise exposing the planographic printing plate precursor with an infrared laser; and supplying oil-based ink and an aqueous component to the exposed planographic printing plate precursor without any development treatment, so as to print an image. A region of the planographic printing plate precursor that has not been exposed with an infrared laser is removed during the printing. The polymerizable compound of (C) is represented by the following formula (1): wherein Ar1, R1, Z and n are as defined in the claims and the specification.

There is provided a polymerizable composition comprising (A) a binder polymer, (B) a polymerizable compound having an unsaturated group, and (C) a diaryl iodonium salt having at least two electron-donating groups. The iodonium salt (C) preferably has three or more electron-donating groups. This polymerizable composition is useful as a recording layer of a negative type planographic printing plate precursor.
