Abstract:
A passenger seat air bag module for supporting and deploying an air bag at a location relative to the instrument panel of a vehicle is provided, which includes a housing, an air bag sack, a gas generator for generating gas for inflating the air bag sack, and a cover element for covering a deployment opening through which the air bag sack is moved when it is deployed. To withdraw the cover element, a drive mechanism applies a pulling force to the cover element via a pulling force transmitting element. The drive mechanism includes a drive block having a plurality of paired cylinder bores and associated drive pistons and a push bar driven outwardly by the drive pistons. The outward movement of the push bar effects withdrawal of the cover element from its deployment opening covering position to its withdrawn position by the pulling force transmitting element.
Abstract:
A hands-on detection device and a computer program that can simultaneously improve the speed of determining hands-on or hands-off and the accuracy of such determination. A hands-on detection ECU that performs hands-on detection of the rim part by passing a current through a sensor electrode provided on the rim part, hands-on detection being performed using two modes in which the current for the hands-on detection is different.
Abstract:
A side airbag device stowed in a side part of a vehicle seat and includes: an airbag for restraining an occupant by expanding and deploying; and an inflator provided in a side wall part of a seat frame in the vehicle width direction extending in the vehicle traveling direction when a horizontal cross section of the vehicle seat is viewed from above, and that supplies expansion gas to the airbag. The airbag includes a main chamber that expands and deploys towards the front and a pre-push chamber that expands and deploys before the main chamber to the inside of the main chamber in the vehicle width direction. Furthermore, the pre-push chamber has a structure with an extension portion extending from the inflator towards the rear of the vehicle seat.
Abstract:
A protection device for the head of a human comprising an airbag having an outer skin enclosing a gas space. The inflated airbag of this protection device covers at least a part of the face of said human.
Abstract:
A pyrotechnic circuit breaker comprising a housing, at least two connection terminals, an internal electrical circuit connecting the two connection terminals and formed for example by an electrical conductor, an opening member, movable and arranged to open a part to be opened of the internal electrical circuit when moving between an initial position and a final position, so as to form at least two separate portions of conductor after opening, a pyrotechnic actuator arranged to move the opening member from the initial position to the final position, an internal chamber receiving the part to be opened, wherein the internal chamber comprises or contains at least one internal surface formed by a wall formed with a plastic material comprising a flame retardant.
Abstract:
An airbag device that is stowed in the instrument panel of a vehicle in order to protect an occupant in a passenger seat and includes an inflator for generating expansion gas along with an airbag that inflates and deploys toward the occupant side via gas released from the inflator. The airbag is connected to the inflator and includes a main chamber positioned in front of the occupant properly seated during deployment and a sub chamber connected to at least one side of the main chamber. An inner vent through which gas flows, is formed at a boundary portion of the main chamber and the sub chamber. Furthermore, a check valve for opening and closing the inner vent is provided.
Abstract:
A wearable protection device for protection of at least a body part of a wearer, comprising an inflatable element arranged adjacent to a body part to be protected, wherein the inflatable element is inflatable from a first, substantially uninflated condition to a second, substantially inflated condition, by application of a releasable source of a gas to the inflatable element, for at least partially filling of the inflatable element with said gas, wherein the inflatable element, when being inflated to the second condition, deploys around the body part to be protected and assumes a predetermined three-dimensional shape adapted to the body part to be protected, wherein the inflatable element comprises a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the proximal end is the end where the inflatable element is arranged on the body part to be protected when in the first, substantially uninflated condition.
Abstract:
A vehicle sensor device comprising: a weight body housing installed in a body so as to be rotatable around a shaft coupled to the body, a weight body being installed in the weight body housing, a ball assembly for sensing a change in inclination of a vehicle, a sensor housing in which the ball assembly is movably installed, and a sensor lever installed in the sensor housing and rotated by the movement of the ball assembly. The sensor lever is configured to linearly reciprocate, by rotation, a pilot lever provided in a locking device. The sensor lever is installed in the sensor housing to which the ball assembly is coupled. The sensor lever is rotated around a hinge shaft by the movement of the ball assembly according to a change in inclination of the vehicle to linearly reciprocate the pilot lever connected to the sensor lever.
Abstract:
A steering wheel enabling support of an airbag module by distributing a load when the airbag activates to ensure prescribed deployment performance of the airbag without affecting the horn function. The steering wheel includes: a support unit that supports the airbag module enabling the airbag module to move along the Z-axis direction relative to the core metal; and a horn mechanism having a movable contact provided on the airbag module and a fixed contact provided on the pin of the support unit. When in a horn non-operating state, a stopper is separated by a distance D2 in the Z-axis direction relative to the airbag module and the distance D2 is farther than the distance D1 of the movable contact and the fixed contact in the Z-axis direction.
Abstract:
A vehicle airbag device includes an inflator, a bag shaped airbag cushion, and a rectifying member on the inside of the airbag cushion. The rectifying member includes a bottom surface part into which the inflator is inserted, a roof part that, when a rim of a steering wheel is likened to a dial of a clock, extends in a 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock direction on the clock when seen from a driver regularly seated in a driver seat with the steering wheel in a neutral position, and opening parts and formed in the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions. The roof part includes, when seen from a 9 o'clock direction, a top part that protrudes convexly toward a driver side, and ridge line parts and that extend in both the 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock directions of the clock from the top part in an inverted arch shape.
