摘要: A pinball-type game includes a housing having a playing surface located within the interior of the housing and a spirally winding object guide channel depressed in this playing surface. The channel includes a launching end and a target end at its opposite ends. The channel is sized to allow one of a plurality of objects located within the housing to move within the confines of the channel. An object launcher is located at the launching end of the channel and is capable of launching an object into the channel so as to cause the object to travel within the channel along a spiral pathway until it reaches the target end of the channel. A target is located at the target end of the channel. The target being of the type wherein it is capable of capturing the object only for a finite period of time. The target is under control of a target activation member which activates the target for the finite period of time and if an object successfully traverses the channel and arrives at the target during this finite period of time the object can be successfully captured by the target. If the object does not arrive at the proper time the object is not captured by the target.

摘要: A game of the type having a housing and including in the housing a ball launching mechanism, a propulsion mechanism and at least one target is improved by incorporating in the game a plurality of balls and a reservoir means located to store these balls and feed them one at a time to the ball launching mechanism. The ball launching mechanism includes an inclined ramp positioned to receive the balls from the reservoir. The balls roll down the inclined ramp and are positioned in the proximity of the propulsion mechanism such that if movement of the propulsion mechanism is coordinated with movement of the balls down the inclined ramp the propulsion mechanism is capable of acting on the balls and propelling them toward the target. Associated with the target is a counter mechanism which indicates the number of balls which have been successfully propelled toward the target and captured by the target.

摘要: A manipulative game can be constructed so as to utilize a housing having a transparent cover and a bottom member located within the housing adjacent to the cover and so as to be movable with respect to the cover between a no-play position in which one or more objects are clamped by the bottom member against the cover and a play position in which the objects may be moved to various locations relative to the bottom member. A timer is preferably employed with the game for operating an elevating structure which moves the bottom member between the play and the no-play positions. A stop mechanism is preferably provided for stopping the operation of the timer mechanism. Although the game is useable with only a single object within the space between the bottom member and the cover preferably a plurality of objects are used and the bottom member is provided with a series of recesses, each of the objects being capable of fitting within only one of the recesses.

摘要: A flipper mechanism for use in a pinball game in conjunction with a playing surface to propel an object across that playing surface comprises a flipper member shaped to have a hub section and a finger section. The finger section includes a striking surface for making contact with and accelerating the object across the playing surface. The playing surface includes at least one upstanding boss projecting from the surface. The interior of the boss is hollow. The hub portion of the flipper member has a generally cylindrical-like surface which includes a spirally inclined cam integrally formed on the cylindrical-like surface. The hub portion of the flipper member fits over the upstanding boss projecting from the playing surface. A button member having a top surface, a cylindrical skirt extending from the top surface and a peg extending from the underside of the top surface downward from the top surface is located over the flipper member and the upstanding boss such that the peg from the button member fits within the hollow interior of the boss. A cam follower is located on the interior of the skirt and when the button member is appropriately located over the flipper member the cam follower mates with and causes the flipper member to rotate as the button member is depressed toward the playing surface.

摘要: An apparatus for projecting a light beam is disclosed which is constructed so as to simulate a gun. Within the apparatus a light bulb is mounted upon a base having a spherical surface. This base is resiliently engaged by a bearing having a correspondingly shaped interior in such a manner that the position of the bulb may be adjusted slightly so that the filament of the bulb is correctly positioned relative to a lens used in projecting a light beam. In the apparatus the bulb and the lens are separated by a shutter mechanism. The apparatus includes a trigger which, when actuated, first closes a switch to supply electric power to the light bulb and then causes the release of a shutter actuator serving to move the shutter so that it opens and closes within a comparatively short time interval.
