    摘要: A magnetic field sensor uses an angle sensor to measure and angle of rotation of a target object to which a magnet is attached. The angle sensor in combination with electronics can generate an angle sensor output signal related to a direction of a magnetic field of the magnet. The angle sensor output signal can be compared to thresholds to generate a magnetic field sensor output signal the same as a known true power on state (TPOS) sensor output signal. A corresponding method is also described.

The integrated magnetic field sensor also includes a threshold control node configured to receive a control signal from outside of the integrated magnetic field sensor, wherein the integrated magnetic field sensor is configured to provide an adjustable threshold signal in response to the control signal. The integrated magnetic field sensor also includes a comparator having a first input node coupled to receive a first signal representative of the magnetic field sensing element output signal, a second input node coupled to receive a second signal representative of the adjustable threshold signal, and an output node at which is generated an output signal responsive to the first and second signals.

    摘要: A sensor that includes a magnetic flux concentrator is presented. The sensor includes a sensor integrated circuit with a structure that includes a magnetic field sensor to sense a magnetic field generated by an external magnetic flux source comprising a magnetic article. The stricture has a first surface to face the external magnetic flux source and an opposing second surface. The sensor integrated circuit also includes a lead frame connected to the structure and having a base portion with a first base portion surface to support the stricture and an opposing second base portion surface. Also provided in the sensor is a magnetic flux concentrator to concentrate magnetic flux of the magnetic field. The magnetic flux concentrator can be disposed proximate to the second base portion surface such that the structure and lead frame base portion are located between the magnetic flux concentrator and the external magnetic flux source when the sensor integrated circuit is positioned relative to the external magnetic flux source.

    摘要: An integrated circuit current sensor includes a lead frame having at least two leads coupled to provide a current conductor portion, and substrate having a first surface in which is disposed one or more magnetic field transducers, with the first surface being proximate the current conductor portion and a second surface distal from the current conductor portion. In one particular embodiment, the substrate is disposed having the first surface of the substrate above the current conductor portion and the second surface of the substrate above the first surface. In this particular embodiment, the substrate is oriented upside-down in the integrated circuit relative to a conventional orientation. A current conductor portion can be deposited proximate to a surface of the substrate and proximate to the one or more magnetic field sensors. With this arrangement, a current sensor is provided for which the one or more magnetic field transducers are very close to the current conductor portion, resulting in a current sensor having improved sensitivity. An insulating layer can be disposed between the current conductor portion and the substrate.
