Abstract: A computer-implemented method for generating a plurality of data suggestions is described. The method includes receiving a textual input in a user interface of a software application implementing a plurality of business processes, determining a query context associated with the textual input, a user, and data that the user is viewing in the software application, and computing a plurality of statistical metrics for the query context, the statistical metrics being computed using information obtained from datasets associated with the query context. The method also includes determining a plurality of candidate data combinations, the data combinations including a plurality of dimensions, measures, and filters compatible with the query context, ranking the plurality of candidate data combinations according to one of the plurality of statistical metrics, and generating at least one data suggestion using the plurality of candidate data combinations and providing the at least one data suggestion in the user interface.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods, systems, and computer program products for detecting anomalies in an Internet-of-Things (IoT) network. One computer-implemented method includes receiving, by operation of a computer system, a dataset of a plurality of data records, each of the plurality of data records comprising a plurality of features and a target variable, the plurality of features and target variable including information of a manufacturing environment; identifying a set of normal data records from the dataset based on the target variable; identifying inter-feature correlations by performing correlation analysis on the set of normal data records; and detecting anomaly based on the inter-feature correlations for predictive maintenance.

Abstract: A universe is created on top of a relational database. The relational database includes database tables with attributes to describe objects. The universe includes objects corresponding to attributes of database objects. Creating the universe on top of the relational database may include creating of a connection to the relational DB to define a data foundation for creating the universe. A hierarchy object is created as part of the universe. A hierarchy type for the hierarchy object is defined. The hierarchy object defines a hierarchy of dimension objects from the universe. An exemplary hierarchy object may be of a level-based hierarchy type or of a parent-child hierarchy type. The universe is saved to include the hierarchy object. The universe is published into a repository. The published universe serves requests to generate queries and to run reports based on data from the relational database.

Abstract: The disclosure generally describes computer-implemented methods, software, and systems, including a method for presenting information. A first graph is presented that represents plural groups, each representing an aggregated set of data points grouped based on a first set of common attributes. User input selecting a particular group is received. The aggregated set of data points is analyzed to determine whether the number of aggregated set of data points exceeds a threshold. In response to determining that the number exceeds the threshold, the aggregated set of data points is re-grouped. A second set of common attributes associated with the re-grouped set of data points is identified. The data points are aggregated based on the second set of common attributes. A second graph is provided for presentation, the updated graph representing plural groups, each group representing an aggregated subset of data points from the aggregated set of data points.

Abstract: A technology for building and displaying interaction relationships between visual components of a dashboard is provided. In accordance with one aspect, interaction relationships are defined between the components of the dashboard using a data grid. A relationship may be defined by associating a component to a grid cell and defining a formula in the grid cell based on one or more other grid cells which are further associated to one or more other components. In accordance with another aspect, information of a dashboard including dashboard components, input data and output data in the dashboard is converted into dashboard data models. An interaction relationship graph may be generated based on interactions of the input data and output data of the components. The interaction relationship graph comprises source-to-target relationships between source and target components of the dashboard. The interaction relationship between the visual components of the dashboard may be presented using the dashboard data models containing the source-to-target relationships.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a method of performing data profiling in an in-memory database is provided. A command requesting a data attribute calculation on data in the in-memory database may be received. A precreated procedure stored in the in-memory database may then be used to perform the data attribute calculation on the data in the in-memory database The precreated procedure may be described in a computer language utilized by the in-memory database. Finally, a result of the performing of the data attribute calculation may be returned to the client computer.

Abstract: Systems and methods for converting structured data into database entries include receiving data values and metadata elements that form a data structure for the data values. The data values are converted into entries in database tables that are related according to the data structure formed by the metadata elements. The database table entries may be used to generate a webpage configured to report a metric of the data values.

Abstract: A document may contain summary information and detailed information, and the detailed information may be replaced with a set of printed machine-readable codes when the document is printed. As examples of such machine-readable codes, quick response codes (QR codes) may be used by a system to encode detailed information. For example, the system may access one or more tables of information as a list or file of comma-separated values (CSV), and the system may encode the one or more tables into corresponding QR codes. Each QR code hence may function as a “virtual” CSV file embedded in the printed report. A user may use a smart phone read the QR codes from the final printed report, and the smart phone may execute a software application that decodes and presents the detailed information to the user.
