摘要: A method for performing disaster recovery in a clustered environment comprises identifying, at a master device, a first indexer from a set of indexers to serve as a primary indexer for responding to queries pertaining to a subset of data. The method also comprises assigning, at the master device, a generation identifier indicating that the first indexer is the primary indexer for the subset of data. Responsive to an event prompting a change in a primary indexer designation for the subset of data, the method comprises identifying, at the master device, a second indexer from the set of indexers to serve as the primary indexer for responding to queries pertaining to the subset of data. Further, the method comprises assigning, at the master device, a new generation identifier indicating that the second indexer is the primary indexer for the subset of data.

A current user interaction with the programs is detected and a usage contextual profile representing user interaction with the programs is derived. 摘要: Proactive avoidance of performance issues in computing environments. In one embodiment, a causal dependency graph representing the usage dependencies among the various components of a computing environment is formed, the components being associated with key performance indicators (KPIs). A probabilistic model is trained with prior incidents that have occurred in the components to correlate outliers of KPIs in associated components to prior incidents. The training includes determining the correlation based on the causal dependency graph. Upon detecting the occurrence of outliers for performance metrics, an imminent performance issue likely to occur in a specific component is identified based on the probabilistic model and the detected outliers. A preventive action is performed to avoid the occurrence of the imminent performance issue in the specific component.

摘要: An event graph schema for a technology landscape may be determined, where the technology landscape is characterized using scores assigned to performance metrics. The event graph schema may include a plurality of nodes corresponding to the performance metrics and the scores, and directional edges connecting node pairs of the plurality of nodes, with each directional edge having a score-dependent validity criteria defined by scores of a corresponding node pair. Anomalous scores associated with an event within the technology landscape may be used to find anomalous nodes. Valid edges connecting two of the anomalous nodes and satisfying the score-dependent validity criteria thereof may be used to determine at least one path that includes the valid edges and connected anomalous nodes. In this way, it is possible to traverse the at least one path to identify at least one of the connected anomalous nodes as a root cause node of the event.

摘要: The present technology relates to improving computing services in a distributed network of remote computing resources, such as edge nodes in an edge compute network. In an aspect, the technology relates to a system that includes a plurality of edge nodes and a beacon. The system performs operations that may include collecting traffic data from the beacon over a period of time, wherein the traffic data includes at least an amount of devices sending probe requests to the beacon; comparing the amount of devices to a predetermined threshold for traffic data; and based on the comparison of the amount of devices to the predetermined threshold for traffic data, generating a recommendation for installation of a new edge node in addition to the plurality of edge nodes.

摘要: Some embodiments provide various methods for offloading operations in an O-RAN (Open Radio Access Network) onto control plane (CP) or edge applications that execute on host computers with hardware accelerators in software defined datacenters (SDDCs). At the CP or edge application operating on a machine executing on a host computer with a hardware accelerator, the method of some embodiments receives data, from an O-RAN E2 unit, to perform an operation. The method uses a driver of the machine to communicate directly with the hardware accelerator to direct the hardware accelerator to perform a set of computations associated with the operation. This driver allows the communication with the hardware accelerator to bypass an intervening set of drivers executing on the host computer between the machine's driver and the hardware accelerator. Through this driver, the application in some embodiments receives the computation results, which it then provides to one or more O-RAN components (e.g., to the E2 unit that provided the data, another E2 unit or another control plane or edge application).
