摘要: A system for targeting contextually relevant digital communications based on past, current, or forecasted weather conditions is disclosed. The system receives passive location information from a viewer and a real-time feed of weather information from a weather database. The disclosed system assesses the weather condition in a given location and then manages the display and rotation of advertisements with both direct and indirect weather dependencies.

摘要: Obscured radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are indirectly read by an RFID reader. Other tags operate to relay the information associated with the obscured tags from one tag to another, until the associated information is ultimately received by the RFID reader from a tag in direct communication with the RFID reader. The tags may be adapted to store the received information associated with the obscured tags and then to encode this associated information and resident information in return signal(s) transmitted to the RFID reader and/or to other tag(s). The RFID reader is adapted to decode the received return signals to obtain the information encoded therein, and to process the decoded information to identify irrelevant tags and obscured tags.

摘要: The present invention, referred to as a Compression Heater, is used as a source of heat, and/or as a means of cooling. As the name of the invention implies, a means to compress an appropriately chosen and operatively contained liquid or gas is utilized such as to cause a working fluid to become heated to some applicable temperature. This rise in temperature is caused by molecular friction due to compression. The thusly heated working fluid can then be incorporated in many novel applications as will become apparent below and in the Preferred Embodiments.

摘要: A dispenser for dispensing materials is provided including a container for holding the material to be dispensed, a plurality of frame portions for holding decorative items, locking apparatus for locking the frame portions to the container, and a dispensing means for dispensing materials from the container. The dispenser also includes a base for receiving the container and frame portions, a memory device for playing a sound when the dispenser is removed from the base, and a switch for activating the memory device when the container is removed from the base. The plurality of frames each contain an aperture and each aperture contains an inner edge operable to lock onto the container. The frames each contain clips to lock onto each other and hold the container. The dispenser includes a dispensing mechanism and the base includes an opening for receiving the dispensing mechanism. The dispenser may also include a cap for receiving the container and frame portions and a cover for covering the aperture may be included.

摘要: A wireless communication device which includes a passive radio-frequency (RF) tag having a memory for receiving and storing initial configuration information utilized by the device. The initial configuration information is written to the wireless communication device without requiring that the device be fully assembled, operational, powered up, removed from packaging, etc. An RF controller transmits initial configuration information to the passive tag using an RF signal. The passive tag derives sufficient energy from the RF signal to store the initial configuration information in memory. The wireless communication device further includes an interface which allows a processor within the device to access the initial configuration information upon such time when the device is removed from its packaging, powered up and operational.

摘要: A system for identifying muscular abnormalities in a human patient and diagnosing musculoskeletal disorders from the abnormalities includes collecting electromyographic signals from selected muscles of the patient while the patient undergoes a plurality of protocols, creating muscle activity samples from the electromyographic signals collected from the patient, defining one of more indices by algebraically combining selected muscle activity samples, calculating the index of the patient from the selected group of collected samples, and comparing the index to a normative range of values for the index to determine whether the patient has a muscular abnormality and to diagnose the abnormality. The system is employed to identify dysfunctional psychophysiological and biomechanical muscle patterns in the upper quarter and forearm of the patient.
